British coal-fired power plants are started - before the cold snap
Chilly weather moves in across the UK. Therefore, the electricity grid company National Grid has now asked three of the country's dormant coal power plants to heat up in order to possibly be put into use on Monday.
The cold means that the demand for electricity and gas is expected to rush, at the same time it is relatively windy and the wind turbines therefore generate poorly.
Britain is to phase out coal next year to reduce emissions. But the government has asked the coal-fired power plants to be available this winter because of the fossil gas shortage. More coal means less gas needs to be used.
The cold in Great Britain is expected to last until the end of the week.

How will forward sale reflect on tax?
Lets say they forward sold oil in Q4 2022 for delivery over let’s say next 1-2 years.
Cash in hand Q4 and less revenue 23/24? Less tax.
Enquest did this in Malaysia around 5 years ago to raise money temporarily for debt.
Another way might work out some deal with a trading house.
Possibly many other ways to reduce the tax
