But, why would they hold stock when there may also be a sudden downturn? They don't have to hold stock. If there is good news they just up the price until people want to sell so it just becomes normal supply and demand. Same on way down, they will drop prices until someone is willing to pay. Why buy from you if they get lumbered with them. Like a Casino they will always win regardless so why risk Capital of their own?

Do MMs hover up shares on the way down? Given they always win on the spread, why would they, in effect, become investors with their own money? Especially as any oil share can suffer from sudden shocks, misread data, rig problems and especially lack of finance to moneterise the assets. Having lost money on oil shares on AIM over the years, I have heard all these before, incl wait for the weekend papers, they want your shares, this is being held back and numerous others. The funniest one last Thursday was that this one share was totally different to all the others that followed a similar path previously. The company has some oil, good. But it needs money to make it pay and that means dilution via a placing or farm in. There isn't enough oil yet , IMO, to just get a loan. Too far to go yet. All the hairy breast but history does repeat.

At what price? What you would like or what they will try to get away with if no other suitors turn up?

Retrace I think for reasons stated earlier, had a look on IG but not accepting any new open positions, was trying to short as a gamble. Long way to making money. Same with other oilys in the past. History does repeat. Not to belittle the company, just the pig that AIM is due to short term traders.

Lac, no it won't. The, good, increase is all you will get for now unless further positive updates appear. Press coverage gives naff all. Possible retrace on profit taking for a while. Just IMO based on similar shares over the years

I had hoped it would be walked up for a bit after cashing in my hedge before going down again. Got my timings wrong.
