Zeron, As a follow up to yours & kingym posts about mud weights, to convert specific gravity (SG) to ppg(pounds per gallon), you multiply by a factor of 8.33.
So -
'As previously announced, the Ud-2 well had been drilled by a previous operator with significant gas shows recorded while drilling in the Gareji and Maykop reservoirs between 2450m and 5289m, with drilling mud weights of 17.5 ppg and 17.9 ppg respectively. Based on the Netherland, Sewell & Associates resource estimate, the Gareji and the Maykop reservoirs of the Mtsare-Khevi Gas Complex are estimated to contain 8.3 TCF of Gas in Place (OGIP), with 5.8 TCF considered to be recoverable'
And 're zone19 on T39
'The Company confirms that it has observed oil stained cuttings and multiple significant oil and associated gas shows during drilling of the recently drilled interval with 2.16 SG drilling mud weight, indicating a highly charged hydrocarbon formation. '
So they needed (2.16x8.33=17.99 ppg) drilling mud as heavy as was used previously on UD2.
