Well, in the last few hours the long awaited for announcement has come in..... and that is for 1 reactor with the potential of 8 in total - all those workers, machinery.... What a time to have sold that land , and for me it was the best reason to invest - give me strength..... no matter how much one researches on a company and the 'bigger picture', one can never know what management will do!!

For some time I built up a holding of shares as the land in Wales, being a short distance from Wylfa, would be ideal for the future servicing development of a new reactor.... and now it's been sold just as a decision is being made about a new contract.. Stena have a bargain ....

I had posted a while ago about Sym ( hi Oxo ) and still think the products are great, esp the FDA approval which will take time but could well be a game changer re food products protection (bread etc ), but being in Sym since the good old Ofex days I can see why some will be miffed ( can think of other words ) A fiddlers elbows comes to mind in respect to how Sym"s share price can move! I would have thought a lot of people jumped on the rocket up to 40 odd pence and here we are at 22/23p.

As regards to the share sale my only thought is... why would one do that if the big news was soon?

Perhaps they are not in a position to have such info ( not an insider ) so to speak, only time will tell.

A little moan from me too as there were a few days there I thought 25 years of waiting may well have paid of lol. gla

Well that was a morning... Long term this should do ok but as I had mentioned on Saturday that perhaps the share price was ahead of itself re Covid, jobs etc and prices being stated for Tuesday . The markets are all over the place and certain funds are selling to make up the books/loss in other areas of the market (in general). Crashes come and go... Long term I still think this is not a bad price, as others have also stated. Some may buy a few and add if it dips a bit... Pubs will return, we all like them gla

Not long now... I must admit, if indeed it reaches those highs I would sell the rest and keep a keen eye on how this develops. Great debate this weekend & thoughts. Thanks Diversified for your reply the other day and no doubt all will be watching at 8am... gla

OOps meant to say.. the comment I made re pre Covid jv talks was to say that nav would have been on higher values that would no doubt be less now. Good to have others points of view though.. thanks again

Thanks...Great views and info there. Yes indeed, I looked at the nav and that wth the businees made me invest when I did. Perhaps I read too much into what may be... ie property value dropping and the amount of people who have lost their jobs & will do so in the near future. I do think these are tricky times and I certainly hope we have seen the worst with no double dip. I have seen four crashes and they never go as one hopes. I, as you will be glad to see Mars go up. gl

I posted within minutes of the rns and I still think at the right price Mars will come good and is worth buying ( I have held for the last couple of months ) but I did sell a few as the price went up. Still holding some but with the present lockdown and even when pubs are allowed to open the sales are still going to be very low re pre Covid. The jv talks were no doubt going on before lockdown in the UK. Long term a great deal but is the share price getting ahead of itself short term? I look forward to Tuesday.. good luck all.

Hi WG. In a previous rns it was stated that D2p does have good anti viral properties. So that was an interesting comment, but tests will be carried out when lab time permitted re Covid 19. Even if this does not (if) the fact Sym has FDA approval re D2p is quite something...good luck

Indeed, I was up waiting for the rns / results that morning, I guess its a just have to wait and see... not too long to go. All I do know is the products are spot on for the way events in the world have gone. ps FDA approval was a good win.. Good luck....

TME, its an odd one, ie the mm keep playing with the spread, yesterday at one point it was 1.4 and then narrowed to .5 and quietly the share ticked up to close. At the moment it is about .6, they will have their fun.... gla
