That's good Becky, thanks. The link to two by two is interesting as well- can't say I really understand it. Looks like the company may have sailed close to the wind a few years in regulatory terms but at least honoured it's obligations. Maybe enhanced it's reputation in a way.
"one can assume that players will be able to fund iGaming accounts and make withdrawals from those accounts using Neteller. This funding option may help some players avoid problems with bank transfers that some Nevada players have experienced." http://www.uspoker.com/blog/neteller-parent-awarded-vendor-license-new-jersey-igaming/6311/
Patience Sir. The benefits of this will take time to come through. I think Optimal is a medium to long term hold. But people are taking their seats now.
.... greater cooperation between financial institutions, merchant acquirers and retailers is required if consumers are to adopt mobile payments en masse .... Today's announcement is a step towards addressing these concerns through the creation of a universal mobile payment ecosystem: Zapp. .... Zapp will have over 60% coverage of merchants in the UK in 2014. I think this could really be a big deal- it is a big step into the mainstream for optimal. We don't know the detail of the deal or even Optimals general responsibilities in the partnership. However the volume of business could be very substantial and if we are judged by the company we keep ...... I have topped up.

Good word for it Dibs. It just doesn't seem to suffer any reversals- like terminator 2 it staggers back a little but then just reforms and continues.
Ouch
Actually- an important qualification - this is not Jim Slater's site. The poster just posts on iii as zuluprinciple.

@AIM_Awards: Well done to @OptimalPayments for scooping International Company of the Year @AIM_Awards! Fantastic achievement!
Presently going through my portfolio trying to judge US dollar risk given current shenanigans but feel reasonably on OPAY in view of the nature of the business- gambling is hopefully a resilient place to be. I also wonder if the pressure to better balance budgets will smooth our passage.
http://www.ifamagazine.com/news/tuesday-tips-round-up-lloyds-petrofac-optimal-payments-283044 Optimal Payments has cemented its reputation as one of the AIM-quoted stocks to watch after reporting spectacular first-half results. The online money transfer company’s profits soared to $15.5m from $1.7m last year. Hence the 15% surge in the company´s shares, which have more than trebled in a year. The company describes itself in part as PayPal for online gamblers. The firm also provides merchant accounts to higher-risk companies that may find it difficult to borrow from banks, such as travel companies. The third leg, which offers the most growth over the longer term, are ‘mobile e-wallets’, making it easier for consumers to make purchases on the move. The company will benefit from the gradual return of online gambling to the US, which had been outlawed. Six years after it was forced to exit the huge market, after being hit with a $136m penalty by US prosecutors, it has struck an agreement with Caesars Entertainment. Numis analysts upped their full-year profit forecasts by 14% to $49m yesterday. If performance in the second half was as good as in the first, profits would be even higher at $75m, they said, although they cautioned the first half was likely to be exceptional. To me it looks like 1250 was a longer term support that more recently switched polarity to become resistance. In the last few weeks we've returned to retest the resistance and have passed through a double bottom. Next stop resistance at 1,600?
I feel in good company :)
