Careful KennyJ or else you will get stereotyped as an OS fan Most people don't like adverse views . It appears to have made JH a bit cranky. Ducem cant remember why I originally invested just had some spare cash from a multi bagger and something led me to CPX . Bought in 2015 at 5.3P which says it all really. Hope springs eternal though
Me and you both Lamald
I suppose it all depends on what your view is of how quickly things happen with CPX
One of my old bosses used to say "perception is everything" ie its not what you do but what people think you do that’s important. For many years CPX has been a small fish in a big pond and despite making many encouraging noises has never succeeded in actually delivering break through sales figures. Also the licencing limb has hardly been a shining success. I think the market has a perception that CPX is far more comfortable remaining as a small R and D company relying on an annual government grant, than mixing it with the big boys in the market place. Only one thing will change that perception and that is actual real life sales figures . Ultimately the buck has to stop with the BOD. IMHO the next 24 months will be pivotal for CPX
Only the inevitable drift down
Don't you worry Frac I did my time working in the Big Smoke. Even got promoted out of town when I solved a problem in 5 days that they could sort in 5 years. Now living on a well earned pension but still a Councillor and a trustee . So dont take the Pxxs out of being old . At least I have made it but will you ??
Looks like I am wrong . I apologise
I understood that they had sold out to some Korean outfit who didn't like the licensing arrangements and decided to try it on and ceased payments
It is suggested that both Murata and AVX "got out" of supercaps because the margins were too low, Is this correct and why should it be so. Also why should it be different for CPX ie what special advantage do we have
I agree Mike CC that you can look at any agreement and place a different interpretation on it. Having said that as long as any deal makes us money I have no problem with it. Its a dog eat dog world out there.
Hardly nothing cold feet what about our legal costs
JH..............NUTS .... Nothing Until Tomorrow's Sales
Would love to know what went on with Ioxus as normally when you buy the assets of a company there are ways in which you don't inherit the debts as well. I therefore thought they were home and free. Anyhow this deal indicates there was some liability which they were not able to settle cash wise. So the worth of the deal really rests on what percentage of their total trade was to the areas they are retaining and the supply arrangements . As always we will have to wait and see whether it was the deal of the century or otherwise
So do I Mikecc ..so do I . But as always I will only be convinced when I see the figures in the balance sheet . Too many false dawns
I guess it all depends how the numbers stack up. Lets face it this case has not gone well from the start . However after seemingly being out manoeuvred and having to write off all legal costs we seem to have been offered an olive branch. I cant see how this effects the other cases as Ioxus had a ruling against them whilst Maxwell has not yet and we don't really know the problem with AVX.
It is JH . Ordered in April but not here until November ish
Well I have to say that came as a surprise and appears to be an acceptable compromise. Lets hope it converts into actual profit
Good god we are in the 4ps . Is the herd on its way?
Musk has sold Maxwell Technologies but kept some of its IP
Mike CC stand corrected. So is the situation that both parties are saying to the judge "look you have all our evidence" , "make your mind up now and save us further legal costs" ?. I agree that recent developments tend to indicate that CPX are " looking confident" but will be happy to read it in black and white . As regards Ioxus still reckon we missed a trick there so lets hope for a good deal this time
