According to my ADVFN screen the market capitalisation of 500.com was circa $712m at close last night. I assume this is up to date and correct?
With regard to DJI's revenues, according to the recent broker "BUY" note from Mirabaud, the Company's JV in Heilongjiang has been trading since Sep15, operating the exclusive online booking system for sporting venues, which had £0.5bn of sales in 2015, and, according to the broker, the JV's revenues are proceeding "in line with expectations". The JV was also awarded two additional contracts in March 2016, including exclusivity to operate sports lottery scratch cards in the province, a product which generated £70m of sales in 2015.
DJI also has the JV in the Shandong province which commenced to trade in October 2015, and following a successful trial in the capital city, Qingdao, now operates the first officially approved mobile lottery app. The broker has forecast revenues of £193m for 2016 from this app alone, rising to £510m in 2017.
In addition to the above is the Xinhua app where DJI receives a commission on all payments of utility bills, motoring fines and mobile telephone top-ups made through the platform. The broker states that the existing spend in the first wave of provinces that DJI has already contracted was more than £150bn in 2015, and it believes that DJI can migrate a percentage of this spend onto its platform, which features on the Xinhua app and also on Taobao and is being promoted by a number of other blue-chip partners.
All of the above is why I am starting to get excited about this stock. Of course, I may be wrong.
