You originally invested £18,000 of your own money

Shares now worth on open market basing it on £4.20 so that's £34,360.20

So take your £18,000 back on the open market no gain as its what you have put in in the first place

then remainder into the ISA around £16,000 free from CGT

Because your still under the threshold as there is no gain, as you originally invested 18K and in essence some of those are been or will be moved into the tax wrapper?
