Morning all. I know it seems pointless now, but looking back at the April tonnage competition list, I note that Boythorpe was at the bottom with 120 tonnes. If the interpretation of MM's figtures from yesterday turn out to be correct, then even Boythorpe was wildly optimistic! I was hoping there would be another RNS this morning with a correction pointing out that the figure stated should have read 1600% improvement, not 160%.

Just had a letter from the eye clinic cancelling my appointment with the consultant, to be postponed indefinitely. Attached letter says to contact the dept if i haven't heard from them by SEPTEMBER. F***ing virus, I know there are thousands worse off than me and there will be thousands more and lots will die, but for me personally, to live through until the autumn relying on my "good" eye, which only works about 80% at best and could still fail, will be challenging to say the least. Heigh ho, carry on Muvver.

Morning all. I hope we are all keeping safe and well? As for the Spanish lockdown, I presume from the lack of an RNS so far today, that work at LP will continue as long as Covid-19 stays away. Whether any material produced is being delivered or stockpiled is a matter for conjecture although delivered would obviously be preferable as we would then be paid. Only another two and a half weeks until we find out how production has been this quarter, I just hope we get to have figures for the next quarter, fingers crossed for that.

Bob, I know where your allegiances lie but is there any government on the planet you could really trust? So then, assuming your answer to be no, who would you have to lead the country and who would be in their cabinet, also what party? Will be very interesting to know who'd you pick.

Poking my nose out of my front window a little while ago, and spotted a youngish workman going about his business at a house a few doors up from me. Whilst working, he had cause to sneeze, this went straight into his hands. A few minutes later, the chap sneezed once more, again into his hands but then proceeded to wipe them down his overalls. Another chap came out of the house, they lit cigarettes and chatted, the workman resting his hands on top of a black wheelie bin. In normal times, this was not good, but after all we've been told? What was the workman doing you ask? He cleared then pressure washed the person's front garden before spraying round with what i assume was disinfectant, all this without gloves, mask or goggles, and this name of this young man's company....."Kings of Dirt". You couldn't make it up!!

Damn, thats spoilt the blue fun run.

Having said all this about viral pandemics, wars, famine etc, we forget that a bloody great lump of rock may hurtle from outer space without warning. Now if that happens, who'll be left with a finger to point if it turns out we were not prepared for it? BANG, too late matey!!

If, God forbid, this ever happens again, and it just might, should the government then fail to respond adequately, that is when they should hang their heads in shame. Now, is not the time for that.

Look there's no point crying over spilt milk. Yes, the government were caught with their pants down, but we now have to catch up and make sure everything is in place, and that unfortunately, takes time. We will be able to cope, this country has always fought back from adversity as long as the people give their upmost support to those in charge and those on the frontline. So stop whinging about what should have happened, thats old history, concentrate on the here and now and then what the future may hold.

Morning all. I have just had a look back at Wres's chart, and over the past five years, the peak was achieved on Wednesday 25th. September 2015 when we reached the dizzy heights of 0.82p. Since then, we've all held dear the thought of reaching the 1p club again but various setbacks over that time have seen those hopes dashed. However, even during this latest crisis, we are still very much in the game, and with everything now in place, we just need a good run at this precarious time and we may see our dreams come true? Keep the faith, stay safe and well and we'll be on that Yellow Brick Road to 1p heaven and beyond......take it away Elton.

As it happens, the London Stock Exchange have never shown the odd 0.5p on the SP, which I have always found really odd. LSE showing 0.155p is correct as the mid price.

Thanks GIT, now back from chemists, quite a wait outside but it's a lovely morning here in the Shires. Shame chemist doesn't sell eggs as Waitrose out of stock but they had plenty of Foie Gras for the knobs!!

From the frontline, stirred, not shaken!! Queue to get in was orderly, one out one in, 2m apart as best could be managed, although one women barged me out the way in the shop, the cow! Got most things but still loads missing from shelves, probably murder if I went later. Cup of tea now to settle me nerves before I go to the chemist for me prescription. Helmet on, gas mask in the corner of a foreign field etc etc.
