Good morning. I'd just like to clarify that what is left of Old Muvver is in fact a he not a she as Troajan posted, although I can be a right tart at times!
As for my losses, unfortunately that was the lot, I'm just grateful that I had no mortgage to pay otherwise I'd be homeless.
I will now ask that question of Troajan, did you actually lose money on Wres?
Just for a laugh (oh, my side's are splitting), let's have one last round up of us Wreslers misfortunes, not by guessing this quarters tonnage, ZERO obviously, but by listing our losses, call it cathartic shall we? Anyway, 1st place is assured by..
Blackrock..... 92m (can't remember MM borrowing that much)
M Masterson...., who knows how much, might he join in and tell us?
Old Muvver....sh*t, getting on for £150k, but on the bright side, the state pension goes up next month!
If any others still bother to look in on this BB, please feel free to share your pain and misery with us. Goingunderground, you as well.
Hello Troajan, nice to see you're trying to keep a positive attitude towards things. Yes, you do get bashed, but you're probably one of the few investors who came out relatively unscathed, if not actually in profit, which suggests your strategy paid off, so well done for that.
P.S. Donations gratefully received to my poor fund.....Guv.
Morning GIT, sorry to read about the troubles surrounding you at the moment, it must be very difficult to cope with emotionally. I had just managed to get enough funds out of Wres to get me to my pension for me to survive, I shouldn't have dived in so deep. However, were both still going but as I have now cancelled my order for the Bentley I was going to buy from my Wres profits I've got to keep my old car going as well. Perhaps MM will perform a miracle one day?
Good afternoon to the few. Having lost more money than I can barely believe playing the stock market, I decided to close my HSBC trading account to save myself from further embarrassment and now have my Wres shares held in certificated form, it just means using a broker should the company float again in the future but I'm still not that hopeful.
Afternoon Troajan. There was I thinking that LSE would be taking this board down and there you are still going strong along with the green box brigade. They are so dogged, they need to be armed and sent off to fight for the Ukranians.
I hope all is ok with you, I haven't been in hospital for weeks now, must be a record for me!
Morning or mourning to all Wres LTH's. Before it's too late, I'd just like to say adieu to those who have sent me messages of support over the past few years. Despite Wres delisting, I will probably continue to hold the shares for a while at least. I'm not hopeful for the future of the company long term but you never know. So for the time being, thank you and good luck to you all...except ??? and ??? and ??? etc. You know who I mean!
I wonder if Putin, and I'm sure he has, Siberian Cossacks at the ready rather like Stalin did during WW2? One thing Russia is never short of and that is man/women power, and that's my worry for the Ukraine, and Putin has his hand on the gas tap.....not to mention a big red button. Still, why worry, I only have a nuclear warhead plant a couple of miles up the road from me!
Good afternoon all. Apologies if this has already been asked, but does anyone have an opinion on how long the suspension could last and if lifted what may the future hold? Obviously, there are lots of hurdles to overcome but as pointed out, Wres are not the only ones in a perilous position due to ridiculously high energy prices. Of course I'm sat here straw grabbing as one does in these situations, but you've got to have hope.
Hello GIT, talk about kicking a man when he's down! First my eye problems, then my respiratory trouble and now my finances have been kicked into touch! I must have really upset that gypsy women?
I can't see any way back for Wres now barring a miracle. I guess that 1p/£1 club will never get to meet up after all.
Let's face it chaps, the end is nigh, just too many hurdles to overcome, so goodbye to my £140k investment, I'm now officially broke. Will I ever learn?
Yeah, things have got worse, now me IBS has flared up, ooh the agony! Where's that nurse?
My sister in law managed to get in this morning without problem, but found my collection of adult themed art had been disturbed.
I wish Troa.
A small cloud has just appeared on the horizon, Guys didn't get their act together quick enough so transport p****d off, now have to stay another night.
Sorry for OT subject to the newer contributors on the Wres board.
Good morning all. Not only have Wres risen back into the 3p's, I'm finally being discharged from hospital after 5 weeks, still attached to a chest drain admittedly, but out of the ghastly Guys hospital. Let's just hope me and the SP continue to rally for a good while yet.
Too late Kev, I'd avoided Covid for two years and within a few days here at Guys hospital, I'd got it, I thinks it's the Southwark variant that's rife here!
Thank you Kev, although I might get better if the hospital let's me!
Good morning Wreslers. Now day 31 of my stay in the hands of the NHS, my body refusing to bend to known medical practice. At least by the wonders of t'interweb, i can keep up with doin's on here.
I loved that cat....still, tea will be here soon!
