UK PM announces £9.7bn in foreign investment as Global Investment Summit kicks off
"Innovation, capitalism, and a strong government lead," Johnson said, are therefore needed to combat climate change in the future. He also noted that lessons from the pandemic had shown that the combination of science and investment had produced results.
The UK is the "Saudi Arabia of wind power," said Johnson, and needs to be the "Qatar of hydrogen" to drive a net zero future.
Speaking to Gates in a fireside chat, Johnson stressed the need for companies to make stronger commitments to reduce emissions in four areas of progress: "Coal, cars, cash and trees."
'Qatar of hydrogen'? I didn't know Qatar was know for it's hydrogen. I thought it was the Far East Countries?
Looks like next resistance is around £2.75. If we break this, then it's upto the next level! SP started off strong this morning and nearly touched it with it's SP fingers...slowly slowly creeping up!
Wow! Just happen to stumble across this video by Quentin/ITM and surprisingly, the predicted 10 years is really happening now. I'm so behind of the times!

Just hold your nerve. It's bouncing off £4.4 and will go back up to £5. It's just a bit of a yo-yo at the mo...
This is certainly flying up today!
We have broken up past £2.5. As Yazz says 'The only way is up baby?'
Not the best news considering 800k less coal based on the high end of estimates. Rail problems will take a while to resolve so might impact on supply even more.
But everywhere needs coal: https://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/energy-stricken-africa-weighs-save-024501092.html

I'm just hoping this drops closer to 20p next week so I can buy some before the end of the month announcements., which I expect there will be some news on the divi which might help drive this upwards.
I'm not sure. My bollinger and MACD suggest there is still a bit of selling pressure?
So 'I've givin' CAML all I've got, Captain' and managed to get it over the £2.5 but I just didnt have enough power to keep it above this level!
Lets just hope this upward trend continues....leading to a good divi Friday finish next week.
There's nowt better than tucking into freshly caught dinner! Yum
The SP has surprisingly been ticking up nicely today.
I've been pushing it up all day with my mental powers! Just 1 more pence to go!
Looks like it's gonna take a bit to break the 17.6p barrier! Maybe the buyback scheme soon to be announced might help?
What the he!!!!!!!!!! What the hell happened?!?!
I honestly thought we were going to be blasting off the moon this morning powered by hydrogen. But instead, I'm shouting 'Sheffield, we have PROBLEM!' I should have sold out yesterday.
What's with this last minute dilution with no warning. Most companies give shareholders the heads up! What have they done with the £172m they raised last year? Didn't they give a month's notice then? Blockbuilding my arseeee!!!!
Thanks for finding and posting this TM.
Thanks for clarifying Tone, that is very helpful. I did read up on it. Anyway, this tells you that you shouldn't believe a word I say cause I don't really know much! ;>
Nevertheless, looking at the charts on Yahoo, there was a last minute jump in SP from £4.65 @ 16:29 upto £4.74 closing time. Those more knowledgeable would probably know what this massive up tick means. Let's see what tomorrow brings!
AB, open an ISA and you won't have to pay tax.
Evening all. Just a question, why would SQZ pay out a special dividend? They only have £5.5m operating profit, recovering from last years loss and need the capital for the explorations and wells.
Is this based on '2020 dividend of 3.5 pence per share (2019: 3 pence per share) paid in July. The level of dividend for 2021 will be reviewed in light of the strong gas price trends currently unfolding in the second half of this year.'?
Maybe it would be sometime next year when they have a lot more cash in the back.
