Sold at £3.30 because I had made a good profit and got nervous. First time I might have got out and hopefully funds permitting bought back at a gain. Long time holder of these in a tracker and hopefully more in and out gains as and when on iag itself. Tend to mirror a funds holdings and do the same. Keeps me invested but allows me small victories and crushing defeats hmmm.

I sold out yesterday. Was 150% up. Bought Rio Tinto at £47.50 now touched £49. Still hold iag in a tracker fund so still making. I don't get attached to a company, just the gain. The plan is to make on individual company stock and invest gains in Funds. Less risk for retirement income. We all do things differently.

Just sold my last holding. Made my investment back a couple of sales ago.. Taking profit while it's there and taking the opportunity to add more Rio Tinto on the drop and just before ex div. Will be back in if this drops a little lower because it's got further to go and good divvy.Good luck all.

Seen as I've just sold out I'd say this will now soar....... Reinvested in Rio Tinto in the hope of a recovery there. A day of sellers regret? Nah divs and 15% gain over 4 years will do. Still hold in a tracker fund so all good. Good luck all.

Every dog has it's day!. Take the divs and await the turnaround. Might even do well to average down. It's all a game we play.....

Always depressing on the way down. If I had the conviction to buy it at £5 I've certainly got it to buy it at this price. One day it will go back up.

Erm can we stop waiting now?

This year I've mainly invested in miners, through this fund and in individual companies. Down across the board but buying cheaper and accumulating for a long time hold. Sucks to be down in value but swings and roundabouts. My biggest headache will be sell or hold still if they go back up!.

Morning all. Just reinvested the div into Rio Tinto. This year has been all about buying miners for me and yeah, less said the better. Sooner or later BP and the miners will rise but as a lth I will take the divs.

BlackRock world mining is one perhaps. I invested in it for first time last month.

All fair points and I never invest lightly. However markets can change as can managements, companies delist and move etc. If divs are withheld to buy Tech but restored later who knows. If the div was reinstated wouldn't investors flock back?. Wasn't RR a basket case? IAG might take off finally too. That was a don't touch with a bargepole. I'm not all in with Glen, but I'm interested to know what or where you'd invest that didn't have issues as an alternative.

Neither a troll or a d.ckwit. Worlds on a downer I get, but when it recovers I'm hoping to be gaining from it. If the world continues to go downhill it matters not wether it's the FTSE or Dow or whatever your invested in as we will all be royally f.ked.

Just feeling for the general opinion on adding Glen all the way down and perhaps up to 450. I'm hoping to get enough so in 5 years I'm well ahead on capital and reaping divs. Rather invest in something we need than flavour of the month tech. ( I do have tech but in investment trusts)

Plan to retire in 4 years. The RR investment was a small punt this year. It's come good but yes tempted to let roll. Actually, might halve it again and rest my mind!

Dividend from my Sipp investments. I could invest in Rio tinto or the like for possibly more gains. Love to see RR double again and it may. But my luck involves it dithering and paying peanut dividend when it does.

Quick straw poll, stick or twist. Sold 600 RR to get my initial outlay back(£1200). 600 left worth £1800. Would you sell and stick in Sipp realising an instant 20% gain and a rough 4% per year divvy, or hold?. Whatever I do will be wrong I know.......
