At the end of the day it’s a mute point. It seems that the issue here is one persons guess seems to hold more water than another’s! Non of us know what’s going on, on the ground, they could be sitting round waiting for the nod they could be having endless meeting on what to do next.. they could be working frantically to try sort out the complete botch up they have done. We can only go off the information presented and then wait to see if it’s true and so far with the release of news then subsequent release of news after stating that there has been delays or blockages, wrong equipment ordered, under powered rigs brought in, not moving rigs to where’s needed etc etc tells us that they are not very organised, as I said either at the top or down on the ground. At the end of the day your hyper positivity is as valid as someone’s hyper negativity based on what we know. You can say well it’s all coming to fluision but is it? Are they going to mess it up again we have thought this before. More delays due to incompetence. Or will they get it right this time and get real flow data? Oh it is worrying that there was such a dramatic drop in pressure when testing even on an open hole basis, I do hope that it was totally up to a blockage. Anyway I’m a gambling man so hoping this will one day come off.
Z-44 Chayvo, Odoptu OP-11 Well are two drilled in 2011 drilled over 12,000m, both projects Sakhalin-I and II (5years from find to production) have deeper wells. These are offshore wells making it much more difficult. Producing over 250,000 Bpd & 315,000 bpd, the company Exxon. There are loads more that have difficult drills but handle these basic cock-ups.
MrC, there is no point in trying to have a meaningful debate, if you come up with anything other than a heavenly rose tinted view of what’s been going on over the years and the dismal RNS’s then you are berated for it and told you know nothing and your guesses of what’s happening are not only wrong but worthy of ridicule! Where as the guesses of the overly positive, (even though it has been so dismal) are fact and are therefore beyond reproach. You have stated a fact regarding the length of time being awful it has been and the amount of rework having to be done is gone beyond a joke now people should be getting fired. This technology is not new and these methods are not new, this has been done before in a lot harsher environments and where mistakes have been made they have been learnt from (in talking about decades ago!) this is just poor management either in orders or ensuring the right teams are in place in every aspect of the process.
Things are more expensive due to trying to prop up the ever increasing base population, which was bad enough before you ended up with millions more coming to the uk, you have more and more people at the bottom. This coupled with benefits like tax credits and min wage increased the cost of living exponentially. Also with SUV’s rice governments pandering to the Eu plan to remove all manufacturing, design , fishing and agricultural out of the uk and make us reliant on other Eu states it’s caused a perfect storm. One which unless we steer clear of we will never be able to get out of hence leaving the Eu. The Eu will end up bankrupting it’s self and member states it’s only got worse as years go on. ... anyway if casp comes it won’t have to worry .... maybe one day... zzzz
Sheps, sorry but all fabricated, but the farmers that are moaning about no workers are the ones that are paying under minimum wage. As for the nhs again another fabricated lie, are population has skyrocketed you look at the population increase 20/30/40/50 years ago it was very very gradual from 1960 to 1990 it went up approx 4.8million then after the whole debacal of Tony Blair’s goverment opening the doors we have seen the population grow but due to mass immigration to 67 million and that’s just an estimate. A lot of which are a net drain in the economy (unless there all earning at least £40k+ Per 4 person family ) so things like schools housing and the nhs have suffered greatly from the extra strain. As for the rotting veg again nonsense, most of my brother-in-laws friends are farmers, I went clay pigeon shooting with them all (approx 12 of them) and got in to this debate all laughed and said it’s utter nonsense a lot of crops are machined picked and those that are not, students usually apply to work who are in colleges and uni to do the picking, they even get them in from the likes of myerscough college who train farmers and agriculture! (Oh they all pay above min wage.) The problem we will have is that the Eu will not let this go without hurting the uk as most member states don’t want to be in the Eu, so if we are seen to be able to leave and prosper and have very little pain then they will do the same. As it’s been said you have the likes of PIIGS who are all in ecanomic termoil due to the Eu and the single currency.
Long term it will be increasingly better, short term it will be awful but that’s due to the people that are in power will make it that was so much money to be made off fabricated misery. Worse thing we ever did was enter the eec, it just shifted the choice of paying extra for imported goods at the point of purchase with the up mark due to tariffs, directly to having no choice and pre paying for them through taxes, regardless of wanting to buy imported goods, basically subsidising imports over our own, hence how we went from manufacturing powerhouse to nothing as we couldn’t compete. Systematic Job losses and flooding of both the employment market and benefits system again all just dragging the country down. Bad when 86% of the countries population increase over the last 20 years directly came from mass immigration. Infrastructure and social cohesion just can’t cope.
Ooo didn’t think it would dip to this level. Well even I may buy a few more if it goes sub 9p on Monday. If it does well more shares and a bit more risk. If it (for some miracle) goes up and we finally have some news not just rehashed RNS and it goes up great finally see some positive out of this share!
I know... it was a moment of grumpy old man comin out after a filtrating day... cc no problem super bob goes where he is needed... On a semi more serious point I do think (just from experience of years of waiting) that we will be looking at spring before any substantial news and this moving anywhere, and as for my incoherent well I get a head ache every time I try to decipher the nonsense I still say it’s bangtidy...
Have to wade in here, fk firstly the country doesn’t shut down that is the media spouting rubish as it has done with the so called current heat wave. As for snow chains they are only useful when you have deep snow other wise they are a complete death trap! As for site we have seen how the cold winter can effect the site as the reduced the working times. I have worked in your so called cold countries up in the arctic circle, Norway well past Burgan and can tell you things still grind to a halt if the winter gets bad enough. Now just because you and cc are having a tit for tat doesn’t mean you should start insulting an entire nation now, does it.
You can have 350 bar in a thimble full off space so where it’s good having that pressure it’s only good if it is sustained (volume) hence why the 90 day flow test data (sustained pressure) will be the thing that sends this off until then all the rehashed RNSs in the world isn’t going to move this from the level. If you believe what we are being told then like jacksdad it’s worth buying more. Anyway time for a Friday night pint.
Dave, it actually hurt my head trying to read your nonsense. I am in no way a ramper (or a de-ramper for that matter), but you messages seem to make no sense... I’ve always said IF we are being told the truth and the BOD can stop messing up, the oil value in the ground is extremely impressive with a low sulphur content and potential natural high flow rates this should go very much north of where it is now. Again it all depends on the ground glares and bod
I’ve always been hoping in a similar story to dragon oil my self, think that was around £8 a share before it was took private, I made some very decent money off that all because I copied my mate many many years ago and bought £100 worth when I was a student, think it was around 2p a share back then. Wish I held out for the dizzying highs of £7/8/ share but hey-ho hindsight is a wonderful thing....
