Gw, you are quite correct as it is a well known fact that a lot of the smaller companies that aren't run with the same governance as a corporate giant do not want shareholders turning up giving and them a grilling or asking too many uncomfortable questions.

Most minnows are run akin to a personal fiefdom.

The only problem with deals is they are like the car finance scandal - the people doing them don't always do deals for the benefit of the company, they do the deal which lines their pocket the most.

Sadly the same can be said for directors of a company. They don't always do the deal that is best for the company ..
