Ben Richardson, CEO at SulNOx, confident they can cost-effectively decarbonise commercial shipping. Watch the video here.
The Dr Reddy's Sputnik V delivery initiative has finally got underway. 3 Million doses (56.6 tonnes) arrived at Hyderabad Airport. It required special handling as had to be kept at a temperature of -20*C . All processes rapidly completed and cleared Customs and was dispatched in 90 minutes. What's the betting it was Tetis R. Can handle temperature and customs electronic formats. (See earlier notes)
https://bit.ly/3i4IYAp, Reuters have just confirmed that DRL are in talks with the Indian government to bring Sputnik-Light (1 dose) into the country.
It's also in further talks with them to supply more 2 dose Sputnik V
It's now been confirmed as fake news that some Indian states who were arranging to bring in more Sputnik V were apparently dealing with rogue agents and that the vaccine, if it ever existed, was likely to be Counterfeit which would simply have exacerbated their problems
I'm beginning to think that the Indian government are going to be pinning more of their hope on DRL to provide momentum to their vaccination drive. It all sounds a bit of a shambles and fraud/fraudulent officials seem to occupy every tier within the Indian administration. There are rumours of several high profile Indians being brought before the Courts to answer charges of Fraud and Embezzlement.
https://bit.ly/3vyse8G,
Yet another article stressing India's Covid woes and complaining about the slow rate of progress with their vaccination drive.
This all adds credence to those claims that India is too poorly organised to mount a successful vaccine strategy and is in need of dire help from someone such as Dr Reddy's who have digitalised their Logistics arm to enable them to tackle this problem with the aid of IoMT (Internet of Medical Things)
https://bit.ly/3yXpeVA
This is an article seeking to apportion blame to those responsible for India's woeful attempts to tackle Covid.
The actual death count is thought to be at least 2X the officially recorded figure with lack of adequate supplies and rampant black-marketing of life-saving drugs.
India's population is estimated at 1.38 Billion. The targeted group for vaccination is 940 Million which means 1,880 Million vaccine doses are required, excluding wastage. How many orders did the Indian government initially place, a miserly 20 Million, - 1.1% of India's needs.
Dr Reddy's initiative gathers pace from mid-June. They're already in direct talks with the Indian government about enhanced distribution rights. If their private initiative, with their partners is successful then there has to be a high possibility they'll be asked to shoulder more of the effort. They already have cold storage and track and trace systems in place which have now been checked and confirmed to be fully operational and able to meet their current target of 250 Million doses. This could prove to be a much larger project for Dr Reddy's than initially anticipated and when you include their ongoing discussions with RFID to finance the purchase of more Sputnik doses to offer support to other countries who are also struggling with their vaccination efforts then you've got the recipe for a huge logistics exercise which should also financially benefit all of their partners who are assisting them with this initiative
#STAR, it has been confirmed by Dr Reddy's that contrary to misleading reports it has sole distribution rights over the first 250 Million doses of Sputnik along with its supply chain. It hasn’t authorised any 3rd party or intermediary to supply the vaccine on it’s behalf in India.
Dr Reddy's have confirmed it has put in place cold storage logistics as well as track-and-trace arrangements for delivery of the vaccine ahead of the commercial launch in mid-June It’s in direct talks with the government to discuss an extension of its distribution area
Dr Reddy's is brand custodian of Sputnik in India and has initiated legal action against unscrupulous elements committing fraud in the name of the Russian vaccine .Unauthorised individuals have been offering fake deals posing as the firm’s representative. DRL is dealing with this.
Apologies, i posted the wrong link for the compact boxes. It should have been this https://bit.ly/3vvg2We
It would be great to think that the compact boxes they're referring to could be one of the above. Kylos Air Connect IoT sends a real-time alert or notification to the Monitoring Center or personnel authorized to activate the reaction protocol. Long Life Battery up to 300 days with our recharge
Starcom first alerted us to Kylos Connect Units on 29th December 2020 which nicely fits in with Dr Reddy's who were putting together their supply chain around this time and carrying out due diligence exercises to check everything in the field to confirm efficacy and operational capabilities. Starcom management even announced how proud it was to be involved in "our effort to eradicate the global COVID-19 pandemic".
If we're not a participant in Dr Reddy's global supply chain i'll be lost for words. Anyhow, here's hoping!! https://bit.ly/3fPWYLQ https://twitter.com/messages/media/1398226366798221316
Sputnik is being imported in a frozen form from Russia. DRL is responsible for ensuring the vaccine remains stable and the sanctity of the cold chain is maintained from the manufacturing site in Russia to its cold chain point and eventually to all parts of India.
It requires a temperature range of -18 degrees C to - 22 degrees C to maintain stability.
They’ve adopted a solution of using compact boxes in which the vaccine will be transported to various parts of India through a combination of air and road transport .
As of now DRL’s contract with RDIF is for 250 Million doses for India with an option to increase. The target is to produce 60/70% in India . It will be imported from Russia at present as long as the Indian sites can peak their production of the vaccine .
Together the Indian sites have scope to produce 850 Million doses in annual capacity and more partners are likely to be added soon
Back in September 2020, Dr Reddy’s acknowledged they were facing a unique situation which would stretch supply chains to the limit . They said that to overcome this Digitalisation would be a vital part of their core strategy and it was their aspiration to become a leading digital pharma company by introducing an integrated and robust way of digitalisation from concept to market .
In mid April they announced that logistics companies that wanted to be adopted into the supply chain required several qualities; good quality products offering supply chain efficiency, adoption of internet of medical things (IoMT),trustworthy logistics partnerships, and most importantly should be utilizing RFID technologies for better operations. I think Starcom satisfy all of that criteria which gives me greater confidence that they’ve every conceivable chance of being a partner within Dr Reddy’s Covid supply chain
An article on Coldmans Logistics who claim to be India's largest Cold Storage operator and are a client of iTrackIndia. They provide the cold storage facilities and are also rumoured to be in Dr Reddy's supply chain. https://bit.ly/3i23D8e
India’s government could be spending more to help its population of almost 1.4 billion weather the economic devastation from the country’s explosive second wave of Covid-19 infections, according to Nobel Laureate Abhijit Banerjee.
Official numbers show that India’s ferocious second wave has slightly ebbed in recent weeks -- although public health experts believe those figures, particularly fatalities that now total more than 300,000, are a dramatic under-count. Yet with India’s vaccination campaign stuttering and the country recording more than 200,000 new Covid cases each day, policy makers are already warning of a potential third wave.
After devastating India’s biggest cities, the virus is now ravaging the rural hinterland where about 70% of the population lives with limited access to decent clinics, hospitals or health care.
It sounds as though the Indian Government's attempts to vaccinate its citizens are lamentable and that it will become more reliant on private initiatives because its health system is over whelmed.
It will be interesting to see what Modri's stimulus package its citizens.offers . There could be scope for more private initiative assistance if the incumbent administration is unable to cope

Also, the Germans have been slow to embrace IoT and move from Analogue to Digital. Others are eyeing this space and may see the current time as ideal to steal a march on their competitors. If there's something you can criticize the Germans about it is their lethargic approach to the pace of change that is happening in the rest of the world. The US is waking up and beginning to spend BIG on infrastructure projects. South East Asia is marching ahead but even the Middle East are beginning to see the bigger picture. We're in for some interesting times and possible wide sweeping changes.
It wouldn't surprise me if some of the large German companies are bought out as we emerge from Covid. Europe is behind the curve and there are some very large global entities seeking to buy market share and eliminate competitors. The slow pace of recovery may provide the ideal climate for this to happen
MM's have been offering above Bid and are prepared to buy in volume. That suggests to me that shares are hard to come by and there may be 1 or more large buyers in the background. Whatever the case, it should augur well for our sp. Let's see how things develop
Yet, more possible good news involving iTrackIndia. Last week i mentioned that one of their clients was taking over Panalpina's ,later this year. Hot on the trail of that ,news has just leaked they're also involved in discussions with D B Schenker on a proposed takeover next year. If that comes to pass, they'll be a global Logistics giant which could possibly provide significant opportunities for Starcom. If, as has been mooted, Logistics is finally preparing to embrace Digital in the move across from Analogue then this company will be one of the primary movers and shakers. https://t.co/6Zjl0hxhnf?amp=1
Signs that something else involving Helios may be brewing in Africa . Just short of a week ago, this link appeared from the CEO of The One Consultants Ltd , our African Distributor. Isaac gave it a "like" but i wasn't sure what it was in reference to. Following, on from these more recent links on LinkedIn,i'm inclined to think there's a potential new/upgraded contract being worked upon in the background https://www.linkedin.com/posts/jacobwoduor_the1consultants-activity-6801449082490515457-C2c1

He’s our Africa sales manager. If I had to take a punt, it could be connected to #Helios units as there’s been several suggestions that something was in the offing within Africa. Is this our seminal moment with several potentially healthy contracts being finalised within a short space of each other. BOD are clearly optimistic and Hunky is more enthusiastic after speaking with BOD. So ,fair to say, somethings afoot
