Agree with @Slipperz, 350 is cheap for this stock, to say this constant shorting is becoming tedious would be an understatement!
I also believe @ATrades has a point regarding regurgitation due to slow news with covid and restrictions, though my pessimistic side also believes there's more of an ulterior motive for it.
Whatever it is it needs to stop to allow the change that is required!
Unfortunately in comparison as an analogy boohoos statement seems to be whispered from a mountaintop regarding reach as opposed to shouted from rooftops and street corners by those shorting them.
Maybe they need to find a way to be a little bolder.
@HKK
"I see a boohoo legal bloodbath coming for theses collective idiots"
I'd like to see that as I'm sure many would, as it would beat the silence from the directors which in some way looks like they're just waiting for it to blow over. That silence, in my opinion, is doing as much if not more damage than the bad press, if not it's certainly giving them fuel.
Come back with evidence of why they're wrong about his underwhelming response to any of this, the parts he's bothered responding to at all that is.
That's not racism that's looking for reassurance that things are in hand, if he cannot or is not going to provide that, perhaps a chairman that is should be appointed anything else will hurt them.
Sure some shorters are shorting and some media deramping, however it cannot be said that he has given them no fuel for the fire.
Not sure what's going on but yeah, it's now almost like the report and results never happened.
Tbh I'm starting to get bored with it and no, I don't have much patience.... I am waiting though but can understand why some are moving elsewhere.
@Claire
"my original statement, one that is very obvious, is that due to the high street getting F-ed this past year, they will focus on online, this is in direct competition with BooHoo.
why are so many people disbelieving in this? you think the highstreet retailers are going to lay down and die, no, they will fight, and claw, and use the same tactics that has harmed them"
Yes it is obvious the high street will try to focus online. That obvious it didn't really need mentioning, people aren't anywhere near as stupid as you seem to assume.
What isn't obvious, to you at least is they've been trying to do that for years not months, and even if they do up their game they're a long way behind boohoo. Not only that but even if they could mimic their online tactics and turnover figures they would struggle more as their overheads are way higher for a start, then take in their existing debts and deficits.
They may up their game and probably will, much like many tried when Amazon were an online bookstore, and I'm sure they may take some of the market. Though I think most would be a different market/demographic to that of boohoo and those that would crossover would most likely be negligible in the fact that more would come. So it would most likely cause a coexistence at best, though it could be too little too late for more high street brands at worst.
@Steve
" I am honestly surprised that anyone is selling under 370 to 380, its just not worth it to sell below that price"
Me too but I guess circumstances differ from those who maybe cannot wait, don't want to or panic/knee jerk reaction into doing so...
Even though I still have all of my holding I have lowered my own target for taking my original investment out, but will be leaving the profits in and hopefully dipping in and out in the future as and when.
Back to topic, I wouldn't be too surprised if we saw the 370-380 range back this week
I get the theory but I don't necessarily agree as they already have a lot in it so should already be motivated by its success, I'm as sure as I can be that it will come up if it's given time.
My friends sisters friends neighbours uncles friends goldfish can see that doesn't make sense....
According to you/your friend... It's a model people no longer want.... BUT... are trying to mimic to cash in on its popularity?
@WolfofWarks
While I agree there is and should be a diligence process I've seen first hand the extra effort some put in for the purpose of a planned audit/visit where everything may not be seen.
That said, as I understand boohoo knew of some issues and were working toward trying to get them resolved. I'm just saying that on occasion some may not know the full gravity of a situation.
@aim4
However boo didn't use an unlicensed business.
So the only real analogies could be if you used a company with a waste licence and one of their appointed drivers dumped the rubbish who is responsible then?
Similarly if you lend your car to another driver who is insured to drive it and they then let someone else drive it who isn't without your consent who is responsible?
Though I do agree with the part where you say governments and agencies should take more responsibility.
I'd never heard of him either until recent days, but seemingly he has millions of followers so this has to be a good thing hopefully.
