Don't agree with your logic. If AI lives up to the hype it'll mean each lawyer can deal with more clients due to AI taking care of the mundane time consuming tasks. More client cases per lawyer should mean more billables per lawyer not less so that'll feed through to KEYS. Assuming KEYS can also keep increasing the productive lawyers working under its umbrella it should mean its billables increase further. I'm assuming here that KEYS will have the smarts and bandwidth to adopt the best bits of AI for its lawyer base more effectively and efficiently than its smaller competitor lawyer firm might do. I would hope that KEYS mgt will comment on how they're adopting AI tools to increase the productivity of their lawyers; if they don't then either the hype surrounding AI is just hype or KEYS will be missing a trick. Either way, whether KEYS is growing or shrinking will show up in its numbers.

I owned both Belvoir and TPFG when they announced the merger and was happy to see it was as amicable a merger as you could hope for. I really liked the previous Finance Director who seemed to know the business inside and out; every time I watched one of his presentations he had that ability to instill me with confidence that the business was plodding on earning great returns while also preparing for the future. I hope I'll get the same feeling after watching the relatively new FD and CEO Thursday, but so far so good. If they can figure out a way to keep growing the business through 2026 then I think this may well be a hold forever stock (if one actually exists). Today was a good day for me. TPFG had great results and I was also very happy with Fonix's performance who reported this morning as well.

I'll be tuning in for their results presentation to see if they put any more meat on the bones regarding their growth strategy; perhaps Winkworths will be their next takeover target. Interesting to see if they mention AI again as a means of both cutting costs for their franchisees and increasing their productivity. I like management who don't use phrases like 'laser focused' or '110% committed' and just tell it like it is in plain english. Think the presentation for retail investors is on Thursday so we'll see what we'll see; as an aside I've never really figured out why companies arrange separate presentations for analysts and retail investors and always arrange the analyst presentation first.

RedNinja - I've also got the free account with Research Tree, but I can't see how you managed to access Cavendish's coverage of Fonix's 2025 results. When I try to access the video it tells me I need to upgrade my account. Is there something I should know?

Agreed. Glad to see CEO gone (presumably ousted by the Board-never did take to her; reminded me of a career politician). I'd like to see someone take the bull by the horns and figure out how to continue to drive vets business forward while gradually extricating company from retail (and no I don't have a clue how that's possible, but then again I'm not putting myself forward as next CEO). Whoever gets the job - I'd like them to have a bold plan and have their remuneration mostly made up of share options upon success that must be kept for a number of years to ensure they have some real skin in the game.

Thanks for the clarification - I'm sure I looked at the same website you linked to when I was trying to answer my own question and didn't spot the 0.03p variance between 2024 and 2025. Either I was still waking up or I need to visit the opticians soon.

Can someone please explain to me how a proposed interim dividend of 3.3p can be an increase of 1% over the previous interim dividend of 3.3p. Either I should have paid more attention to my old math teacher Mr Disney or the Mony Group leadership team need to check their sums.

Love the CEO's enthusiasm and lack of corporate gobbledygook speak. I have a small holding in this company, but will likely buy more once next results are published (think in early July).

Still listening to the Interim Results presentation and nice to hear David, the outgoing CFO, isn't cutting ties with the company entirely once he steps down as CFO; it appears he'll be working with the CEO on certain specific projects focused on growth and efficiencies. I always like to see an outgoing CFO replaced by someone else within the business because it indicates good succession planning, internal training and a deep talent pool and unfortunately I didn't see this here, but at least the outgoing CFO isn't cutting ties completely which I 'm hoping shows his faith in the business going forward.

Negative net debt!!!!? Come on WealthOracle whoever/whatever you are - I'd suggest that means net cash.

Guess only the insiders and perhaps only David himself could answer that question. Because David's not supposed to retire until the end of next year I got the impression he had only just made the retirement decision (even if he might have been thinking about it prior to the merger). I held both Belvoir and TPFG shares and always thought a tie-up might be possible if management could truly put aside their pride and do what was right for the companies in the long term and that's exactly what Dorien appears to have done. I'm sure Louise will be considered as will others within the Finance team of the enlarged TPFG; just hope whoever it is doesn't feel the need to alter much because like I said in my last post things seem to be running smoothly and very successfully at the moment; time will tell, but for now I'm happy to hold the shares and look forward to the future trading updates/results.

Sad to see news of David's upcoming retirement albeit at the end of Calendar year 2025. Always came across as a down to earth CFO with no airs and graces and someone who would simply put the work in to make the company more robust and profitable over time. I hope there's someone internal to take over because I don't think this company could be running any better than it is currently. Perhaps the old Belvoir CFO might be considered for the role.
