Just a further thought on this conference. The UK is providing $3bn in aid to Ukraine, any aid given to a country usually comes with strings attached as to where the money is spent. The fact that FDBK have been invited to present seems to indicate that a small amount of this aid will end up with FDBK a British company. What I have been surprised at in the past year is the government is willing to trumpet FDBK abroad in India, Middle East and now Ukraine but a bit surprising that the technology has not been taken up in NHS more widely. But the fact the government see bleepa/carelocker worthy of support abroad bodes well for eventual rollout in uk.
Hi PR this is an upcoming webinar that anyone can attend. Not sure how relevant this will be to the CDC framework. Any additional information is welcome seeing the vacuum of information that comes from FDBK.

Would be good if Tom could relay the plans as regards Ukraine’s health service but the fact he is being invited confirms governments awareness of FDBK’s products.

This is a talk Alexandra Pinches gave on CDCs in March which I missed at the time. There is not much mention of digital transformation of CDCs but at the end she talks of additional capital being available for CDCs over the next few years and the need to make them as efficient and cost effective as possible.

Looking at the attendees of the APPG meeting yesterday there were some really high profile figures including Alexandra Pinches Head of CDC program for NHS. These type of people will be key in deciding whether to implement bleepa/carelocker into CDC framework. Hopefully the resulting report will recommend a digital tools implementation then it is just a matter of time and funding.
I received email confirmation from APPG that minutes from today’s CDC round table will be published w/c 3rd July there is a second round table meeting that will be published on 5th July hosted on the rcr website . Looking forward to viewing the discussions.
I doubt it is a problem with the technology, it has proved itself at QVH and although it didn’t win the Galien medical technology award for 2023 was listed as a contender for the second year in a row. There has been serious constraints on NHS budgets this year due to wage demands. The government has been dragging its heels with regards to digital health in the NHS as highlighted by the earlier report this year being deemed inadequate response from government. Looks like Tom wants to make a case at APPG for a deployment of digital health before the usual winter crisis comes around. I would like him to say something about the £1bn earmarked in my earlier post and whether that money will be utilised for ICS and CDC’s there is much for him to address.
PR I agree TO should not be hiding in a bunker from shareholders after all it is all of us who are paying him handsomely to run FDBK. He has a responsibility to explain exactly what he is doing for us. I don’t find proactive interviews to be very demanding on the guest and TO seems to have a knack of using some loose business terminology to signify that everything is going according to plan. That is why I’m hoping that the APPG meeting will be more robust if there is a transcript to view and the MPs show a favourable response towards bleepa as a solution. But I totally agree it’s contracts that are needed and not just continual reassuring words.
This is the link for APPG website which looks like they publish minutes of meetings. So hopefully we will be able to hear the case Tom makes to this parliamentary group tomorrow.

It’s clear that the powers that be are well aware of bleepa and the impact it could have on CDC’s and ICS and that’s why Tom has been invited to speak. The wait for meaningful progress does seem slow but changes in the NHS directed by government happen slowly. I think this is a really positive sign and hopefully there will be a transcript of the session available to the public, this for me would be more welcome than a proactive interview in which things can be glossed over quite easily.
This is something positive from TO’s LinkedIn. Let’s hope some much needed contracts come of it.

This is a similar app to bleepa again hoping to get rolled out across NHS. The only difference is that bleepa has CE and UKCA accreditation whether that will give the edge on procurement we’ll have to wait and see.

The part on data and digital health is at the end of the report.

This article highlights the funding available for digital health. Still can’t believe we’ve heard nothing from FDBK about this so far. Surely they must be putting forward their solutions for integrated digital health care.
