Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Interesting creation of a separate registered address located away from the main functioning hub of Ygen, albeit a mere ****-stride away.
First of all, at what cost and can such additional ‘administrative’ expense be justified, especially in the present climate of a saggy-saggy SP and a maiden net profit seemingly as distant as ever?
Looking on the positive side I expect it will provide a leafy, verdant retreat and buffer zone between the BOD and the minions who service the main lab on a daily basis.
And for those who do attend the AGM, a 10-minute trek to the lab for the open day awaits them, through previous ‘bandit’ territory (this is on the very boundary of Moss Side and Hulme).
All in all, a peculiar decision to add a further expense to the company so soon after ‘rationalising’ it’s work-force post covid.
Never mind, I expect the tea-making facilities are state-of-the-art.
Good to see how our resident fruitcake spends his Sunday, in splendid isolation with endless monologue. The men in white coats really cannot be faraway now.
It’s a great pity that our financial legend and investment-advice magnet cannot bring himself to the forthcoming agm and open day as I would have anticipated a sell-out attendance as we lesser investors/ mere mortals could have been educated in the finer technicalities of … averaging down. How’s the guidance go again? - sell at 16p ( at substantial loss), and carry on buying numerous times as the SP is walked down to 6p. Truly inspirational.
“I've a long list of correct calls and strategy”
Yes indeed. Market crash, Taiwan invasion, sell at 16p and then buy all the way down to 6p, moving to Ladyboyland before erm exiting in a hurry.
Buffett you ain’t.
Now, let me get this straight. 700+ million share# in play and not a single trade on the open market in 4 hours? What are we even still doing here, and at what annual cost in fees to Aim?
LR’s obfuscation at the recent Investor Meet Q/A in conveniently side-stepping any explanation for the continual dismal SP performance is no longer good enough.
Any CEO worth their weight in share options can and legally do promote their Company and hence often SP, whether by personal dynamism or high-profiling the Company publicly or by getting in the faces of big Pharma.
On the rare occasion LR undertakes a public face-to-face I am reminded of a bleak Welsh valley with driving rain and a long-abandoned slate mine in the background.
I am, dear reader, today beginning a campaign to replace our CEO with a dynamic Welsh legend. Max Boyce with his leek.
Now, altogether now, ‘Oggy, Oggy, Oggy…..’
There, that should get things moving in the right direction.
Sometimes there’s no hope for the afflicted, totally impervious to regular comments made on this board that nobody, but nobody is remotely interested in your trades, real or imagined.
I find it difficult to comprehend those who carp constantly from the sidelines at a safe, no-risk distance but then fail to take up any opportunity offered by the company to meet and kick the tyres of the company.
The invitation also incorporates the agm. Yes, a foregone conclusion but if investors never speak up face-to-face, then the status quo invariably remains.
Keeping fingers crossed for a buyout at nearly 200per cent above the prevailing price is for the fairies, likewise hoping for a coup of the BOD will somehow automatically guarantee sunny days.
I for one intend to be there, if only to see the mechanics in play and see the whites of the eyes of the senior management present. Maybe a waste of time but heh-ho I make the effort. Effecting change by anonymous , faceless, tippy-tappy warriors is mainly reserved to the most hardened of twitterati converts.
Just as expected, one is never likely to prise an addicted keyboard warrior from the safety of his ramshackle lair. Keep on living the fantasy of “averaging down”, hurl negativity from afar, and avoid the prospect of any personal or conversational interaction with fellow shareholders.
Now, for those still unclear why our most famous ex-pat exited Ladyboyland some time ago, just join the dots…
Well if ever there was an opportunity for the critics and doubters to enter the heart of the Co. they so love to denigrate, this must be it.
A nice tactical move to open the company up for inspection.
Now then, let me check Twix’s diary and get the excuses in for non-attendance early…
This would still give him time to drive the SP down to 6p in not one but two companies.
We are often reminded that this company now has 100+ products for sale. But then so does Poundland. This is not an automatic given for success.
Now I realise that Twix constantly reminds us that he has just purchased more of the same product at a discounted price, only to find he could have bought cheaper again the following day or week. I conclude that he is the original bog-roll horder so manifest in the early Covid days.
The concern I have is whether Ygen has the capability to effectively market and sell and grow so many items. It is -and remains - a tiddler in a large and growing market.
It appears to have a disproportionately high level of employees in terms of actual sales, as well as a hideously bloated BOD of predominantly scientists rather than hard-nosed business types.
I would regard a management led buy-out of the company at the lowest price possible as a disaster for shareholders and, to a lesser extent, a takeover with no resultant bidding war.
I prefer to give the benefit of the doubt in the expectation of deeper and more rapid US penetration in the near future, with high margins feeding through to the benefit of shareholders.
Just as likely to be a tasty buy at 6.50p, the price to buy at this time.
And there he goes again, this time the Kissinger of this board, the geopolitician of the airwaves!
Is this the same Lord Haw-Haw who predicted the stock market crash 12, 18 and even 24 months ago?
Taiwan is not new, I asked the question of LR a year ago.
More to the point does anybody think Twix is really invested here, Mr “average-down”personified? How can he be as he will be happy and joyous only if this company ever failed, which it will not? A despicable waste of skin, a twitterati veteran who appears to have no interest in anything other than the keyboard placed in front of him. And the medication.
So one can only speculate what pressing appointment prevents twix from taking the helm in the LR lashing session. Could it be that the meds are not performing as expected?
What a pathetic keyboard warrior who relentlessly spouts negativity about this company and its BOD, but then inexplicably is unable to type a question or two which might clarify concerns.
One assumes the current insomnia of our resident medicated investor will prevent his attendance at the Investor Meet later today. Hopefully alias Frankie will deputise.
“ i showed you how to trade this…. like a Donkey” Is twix at the confessional altar at his most lucid.
Buying at 16p and consistently all the way down and calling it a success. Clearly, there are certain courses of medication best avoided.
One hopes that he and his alter ego Frankie The Knife have primed their incisive questions to probe and prod the BOD, such as “heh smart guys, I’m over half a million quid out of pocket, can U ‘elp?”
Rather ridiculous that the SP was restrained for much of the day despite some decent buys, followed by a veritable onslaught (by our modest standards) pre-close. How very leaky and manipulated, perhaps?
The”me,myself and I” show rumbles on. Safe and secure behind a keyboard.
Compare and Contrast.
The occasional but wonderfully researched finds from the likes of Mala (much appreciated by the way)…or the resident Tourette’s, eternally bitter and twisted, stuck record.
Tossing and turning endlessly in the heat of the night, it appears twix may have been overcome on this rare occasion with a light dusting of honesty.
“… on loss we all share even if mine is larger..”. Oooh matron, fetch the damp face-cloth and yank his fingers from the keyboard!
“ I do not feel like sharing any nuggetts any longer.”
Can’t believe I’ve missed the witnessing of twix imploding (again), just as he did on the other board when he took his laptop with him!
It would be refreshing to hear once again the far more knowledgeable posters who have been bullied off by Mr Average-Down personified.
