The Tudour Group - is this them? Overview The Tudor Group is a hedge fund manager based in Greenwich, Conn. Founded by Paul Tudor Jones in 1980, the Tudor Group engages in macro trading, making big bets on major market trends. Jones put the company on the map by heavily shorting the market in anticipation of 1987's Black Monday. While the firm is highly secretive, Jones is a vocal and influential member of the hedge-fund community. His trading strategies and pronouncements are followed closely by industry observers and colleagues. One oft-quoted Jones pronouncement comes from a January 2000 interview he gave to ABACUS, a consulting firm with a media arm: "And then at the end of the day, the most important thing is how good are you at risk control. acees - The big buy the other day of £282k related to around 4% of the shares in circulation. As such I am sure the buyers identity should be declared but it often takes a few days to come through. I am not sure how quick they must announce it but I think they still have time in which to declare. If it did break the declaration threshold then they are dutyheld to state who it was so we should know soon. At least that is my take on the situation.! Perahps CWE have news yet to come to us .....who knows in this game!

Nothing inspiring from the RNS - the sales seem to be a slow - housing market there more subdued than I thought.

Re the cash - they havnt made the 25% reduction yet so annual cash burn is around 3.61M. So we can survive until end of 2011 and will need cash in 2012?

As of June 30, 2010 Hirco PLC had £5.76 million of cash. The Board is aware of its working capital position and is keeping under review the options and actions needed to ensure the company has sufficient working capital. The Board is examining Hirco PLC's running costs and is targeting to reduce costs by 25%, resulting in expected future annual running costs of approximately £2.89 million.

Rob Young and Nigel McGowan have been non-executive directors and Priya Hiranandani has been chief executive officer since Hirco's initial public offer (IPO) in 2006. Commenting on the board changes, Niranjan Hiranandani, Chairman of Hirco plc, said: “Now that Hirco has invested its IPO proceeds, we recognise the sense in reducing the size of the board, but their experience and judgement has been much valued and will be missed.” Excuse my ignorance here as you guys are more learned as regards HRCO -- The IPO was 2006 - does the above mean that they have just spent the monies now? or does that mean it has just run out now and more funding is required?

Well as we have all hinted at before I think this SP is being driven down to a level to accommodate a TO.

Dootsy personally I am not throwing more money at this ..my average is 10p.....I do think I will get my money back but it is a risk so thats why Im not throwing any more at it. I would only consider that if I could throw enough at it to brin the average down to under 7p and then try and sell on a good day...but I havnt got the spare cash to do that! and anyway if I did there would be better options elsewhere for that cash. Im afraid we didnt get that bounce that we hoped for when it initially dived to 10p...many shares have bounced but we picked a heavy lead filled one!
