Dan just said they acquired and integrated RateSetter with in 6 months. You can now borrow money digitally which you could not do before.

This is in addition to the RateSetter back book they are picking up which stood at £384 million as at 29 January 2021

More than £120m total gross new lending through RateSetter channels post-acquisition to 16 February 2021. This is more than 12x the value of lending they have done in any given year since Metro Bank started.

Goldman Sachs inched up slightly again to 12.28% in today's RNS

On the positive side of things there was no objection to Metro taking over Ratesetter ( another authorised and regulated firm ) last year, so the investigation probably won't be too harsh.

Average FCA investigations ran from many years according to their FCA's annual enforcement report https://www.fca.org.uk/data/enforcement-data-annual-report-2019-20

So although I welcome a quick resolution on these cases I'm not hopeful it will happen quickly.

In the In the interim results for half year ended 30 June 2020 Metro basically said the same thing they said in the annual update in February 2020 in regards to the PRA and FCA investigations:

We are currently subject to enforcement investigations by both the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and FCA.

• The PRA's investigation relates to potential breaches of the PRA's Fundamental Rules 2 and 6. The PRA is investigating whether there were failures to conduct regulatory reporting with due skill, care and diligence, to remedy an issue identified by the PRA in a timely fashion and/or to provide effective oversight and control to comply with its regulatory reporting obligations. These issues relate to our assessment and reporting of our risk-weighted assets. We are co-operating with the PRA's investigation. As yet, the PRA has given no indication of the likely timeframe for completing their investigation or of the action that might be taken as a result. With these RNS' we at the least we know Goldman ( or it's Clients ) are trading a lot of Metro Bank shares. Let's hope they feel confident enough to make a bid. Leading up to the results for year ended 31 December 2020 will be fascinating.
