Agreed, while Id like the share price to be higher, personally I prefer the simpler model and it's easy to underestimate just how game changing the NSRs will be for our MCAP / share price.
I'm failing to ser a wall of silence... There has been a fair amount of updates and we aren't the only share out there which is scraping along in the doldrums in the current climate. Don't believe an inquisition on every move which hasn't paid off is particularly useful, as the BOD is now adapting to the situation now.
Proactive Investor interview explained the move in strategy away from exploration (that the initial decison was opportunitic / short term gamble which would have been great to have paid off), to focus on investment (which would include NSRs) & clearer visibility of worth. Aforementioned RNS explained most of this at the time.
NSRs massively underpriced, but will materialise. ST article reemphasised this with mention from MTR via Twitter. SFR exploration update due shortly, which will will no doubt follow with communication from MTR. These updates will come when they are ready and they will come as SFR need to explore to add value at their end and have plenty of exploration funds.
Think he knows its controversial for those who were hoping for an instant strike on KML, but the new approach of removing cash burn and simplifying the company will make it easier to value (difficult to categorise and compare with other similar companies at the moment) . Makes sense as all of our nsr payments which weve been waiting on for so long could have ended up going down the exploratory drain). Less risk but with the level of reward due do we need more risk? More visibility of asset values via tech should then make the share price align more to worth (hopefully)
I never rely on RNS notifications here. Have always been signed up to multiple providers (ADVFN are better but the chat boards worse). Also the RNS shows in my share dealing account with H&L... sure whether the RNS not showing here is MTRs fault but agree it would be nice for them to raise it with LSE, if they havent already (if they have then theres the question of where are they in the pecking order being just an AIM company) . Either way, all share holders should have received the RNS yesterday morning via their share holding accounts, as well as in all share news publications (Morning Star, Proactive, Business Wire). Not saying they couldn't communicate better , just providing a bit of balance
So long as we retain the NSR in 7 KML districts, which the RSN states we do, it's over simplifying to say that we have only sold for 1.5m. The NSRs will have been considered in arranging the deal, if not directly as context to the value MTR will still eventually see at zero exploration cost.
Everyones entitled to their own interpretation. I'm half glass full. Riding on NSRs isn't a bad place to be, if they live up to being game changing. 1st invested when they bought their Thailand venture. At least we'll end up with something of value (NSR) from KML.
Final paragraph from Michael's statement in this morning's RNS. Need to scroll down but you'll find it
Disappointing share price has gone lower today but I was never a big fan of us funding half of the joint venture, as it was either going to eat into our NSR from SFR or require fund raise(s) which would have a bigger impact on our share price (just look at where cobres share price is...). Sell price seems low but then us retaining NSRs in fully owned KML districts keeps us linked to future potential in a way that is significantly material to our MCAP.
Hopeful that the mentioned improved 'investment story' will bring something new in our strategy regarding NSRs and how these will be distributed to shareholders. Especially with SFRs next update with lots of activity showing in key zones on satellite imagery.
"This transition amongst other corporate strategies which are in the process of either being implemented or evaluated will allow the company to operate more efficiently, improve the investment story and create a platform from which the team can focus on substantially growing the company's net assets. We are excited by the transition this deal allows for the business and we will update shareholders on further progress across the business at the appropriate ."
In lieu of a crystal ball or time travel, the bod are working as Id like them to. Conservative on what could otherwise be a massive drain, using the best possible approach to find the next copper target. The share price will no doubt go back to and remain were it was last week, but it will go up once SFR & CBR come good and one the NSR proves its potential. That's the reality when investing in exploration. No point in being fixated on post consolidation or pointing blame for interim share price fluctuations. Potential for massive gains here whoch could happen any time and in the medium-term for mtr (IMO) at low-risk
As good as the news is I think the share price is waiting on the multiplication of the base case to be proven via further discovery on the belt. Price moves on news and an expansion of T4 or findings on a new site will be significant (new) news as the earninfcap also wont apply. Plus backdrop of Russia isn't helping
I remain positive & added a week ago. Feels like we are moving slowly but surely this week. Update was good but mostly reassuring re work progressing on the mine & assays being due. Assay results will be more material (& hopefully significant).
That being said we went down from mid 20s when the matsa deal was announced, which I thought was due to doubt on how we would fund our options. That's resolved & we are no benefiting from increased volume of SFR shares along with a higher share price. Only a matter of time till all these things are factored into the share price here. Ultinately were in a much better place than we were 6 months ago. Appreciation in share price could be any time but maybe some are waiting on where we are with funding KML's next exploration phase (unless I've missed this).
Could someone help confirm how the ASX listing works please... is this completely independent of LSE MTR, or does a rise or decline in one of the listings transfer into the other? I thought it was the later but that was the case would have expected the LSE share price to go up more today....
Copper now up 4.1% to 4.5.
Down here a little today but SFR (&us) will catch the copper wind upwards soon. Confident KML will come through but in the meantime it doesnt look like its factored into our share price at the moment
If they can do this without a placing looks like a shrewd move as SFR share price is only going upwards. Perhaps we can get a deal based on projected income from Royalties to demonstrate value from our NSR.
Surprised by the consecutive drops... maybe factoring in an expected drop in Sandfire share price once they release more shares? Let's hope their price goes up, followed by ours & that we dont dilute to keep out % shares....
Great news, not only underpins 5.2 Mtpa but also:
• Outstanding potential for further Resource and Reserve growth, with recent step-out drilling
confirming high-grade mineralisation ~1.2km south-west of the A4 Mineral Resource envelope
and drilling continuing across an exceptional target pipeline within Sandfire’s extensive land-
holding in the Kalahari Copper Belt.
How high will the Mpta go...?
Now almost 4%!
Likely combination of all 3. Gradual rise to recognise current fair value of c37p with a base to head up to new highs.
Another great update which I'm sure will reflect in the Share Price in due course. Can't help but this the market may be more engaged if Metal Tiger started to communicate the strategy of what they intend to do with the stable & continual revenue stream we're due to see from Sandfire Copper Extraction (i.e. if they were to commit to giving half of the revenue as a dividend).
Thanks Agricore. Agree all looks good and price set to rise anytime in the coming month with news due. Interested to see how long Sandfire hold back on T4 - looks like they're still drilling & lots of drilling to boot!
Up we go. Shares flipped, warrants purchased, onwards & upwards in anticipation of T4 - note statement in ASX announcement; value of T4 has not been re-evaluated YET
