Yu Group have a water Retail Licience that allows them to approach business and public sector customers and to offer them better water supplier deals than their existing supplier.
They have been low key up until now but they are now scalng up the water business and put in place the staff to scale up and offer gas/power and water their water pricing is very competitive and the last set of water accounts shows a good profit as they have a low cost to serve it is noted that they are pushing ater on their website and making progress with their energy brokers to now sell water making them the ONLY energy supplier with a ater retail licience which is a strong unique selling point.

I do not see the water element as a barrier to entry I see the water element as a HUGE advantage in the market against their competitors as NO other suppliers have a water retail licience.
when clients come to them to switch water supplier they also offer them gas/power its a seamless and easy fit and unique fit.
They are gearing up their water division YU Water Ltd last accounts £1.6M T/O profit before tax £244,000 there is not much margin in the water market yet BUT Yu Water have clearly demonstated they can make good money so all 3 utilities go well hand in hand smart move thats all I can say right now

Over the past 12 months this business has had a 65% drop and never fully recovered with no apparent explanations?
Realistically how damaging is this to the business as its not recovering.
