Thanks Guys, thats clearer now...Im in for the very long term guys. CMON Dixon
Please correct me if I am wrong. Why are people getting exited about any rises today, my understanding is it wont make any difference untill after 7th Aug as the price for the merger has been set?
Will a merger need to be ratified by dsg shareholders?
They told you to BOGOF ?
£1.00 a share at Poundland, now that would be great marketing eh. :) av a word.
I thought everything at Poundland was a £1.00 !
DONT TELL HIM PIKE ! :)
I'm guessing he reads LSE, so don't ask any questions or he will be able to put a face to our silly names :)
Sad though it is for those affected, But where heavy white electrical goods could not be moved out of reach of the floods they will need to be replaced when the waters subside.
I think this share is still good long term. The board are doing everything right. Like the economy, DSG is at the threshold of turning the corner and when it finally gets around the bend I expect the sp to double.
Im not surprised at all. Same thing happened June final results. After dropping it regained value then levelled off. My opinion it will do the same and move upward again after Jan tradjng statement.
Seb says, the Board is very equity focused and are keen to make returns to shareholders but only when the time is right.
I believe we have still to see the truer picture re Comet effect in January statement as they were still trading late into H1
I still think Jan trading statement will be the date to watch. The money will be in the tills and the mm's will be back at their desks driving the SP up. The kid calls it right, he was just a little early ob the dates. GLA
Well done guys your all thinking like salespeople....... Those were the days :)
Is what takes sp to .60p :)
are nothing new. We've known dsg are heading for H1 profits since November. I also predicted we would be 50p + by 17th December back in November. we will be into christmas & new year shortly. IMO we wont see significant upward movement of SP until the January trading statement.
60-70p is possible within next 12 months. For the next level. I think consumers would need to see an increase in disposable income in thier pockets. This is when the Chancelor gives the electorate a sweetener before the next Election.
Given the potential of Dixons Retail shareprice, would "sick" and "ream" be appropriate adjectives when this share realises our aspirations? :)
I think Drax could well be right. Whilst I think the last time Divi was paid was 2009, as long as the SP contiues to rise there will be less pressure to announce a Divi. Only a very healthy end of financial year bottom line profit would deliver it sooner than later. IMHO
