An investor only needs to own the stock for one day (the record date) to be entitled to receive the dividend payment. If the investor buys before the ex-dividend date, and sells on the ex-dividend date or after, the investor will receive the dividend payment.

This time 2 years ago Dixons couldnt break through .30p but right now 1.00 is certainly achievable Having tracked Dixons for many years, It is my opinion that 6.50 is a realistic Target for the new DixonsCarphone for the medium to long term.

We only briefly discussed top line performance, I can only speculate margin erosion at this time. I would anticipate many of the promoted items were at least partly manufacturor funded. Carphone section within this store was well manned and and all customers attended each time I visit.

Just been talking to my Local Currys/PC World Store Manager, He had fantastic Black Friday, takings almost matching the Boxing day figure from earlier this year, he is expecting to smash like for like xmas targets for Peak period. Feedback he is getting is most stores Managers are confident and upbeat.

The technology of tomorrows world will be in all households whether you like it or not. You only have to look back a few years to see how far and how fast the progress is.

Just looking at my Samsung S4 S Health app that links to bathrooms scales and other health devices, also another app links to my washing machine. Dixons Carphone is perfectly placed to deliver the complete synergy of modern technology to the consumer. Im guessing soon just like my washing machine the next generation of motor vehicles will download diagnostics to my mobile device and arrange for the servicing too. Which car manufacturer will be first to offer this feature I wonder.
