It was originally developed as a currency yes (the whitepaper from 2009 is freely available online), but that's not the reason why I - or many others - are invested in it.

Flame was only a small investment thanks for your concern. All Alts follow Bitcoin so it's OBVIOUSLY going to be down in a bear market but cheers for the cheap dig.

I don't see Bitcoin as a currency. Bitcoin has been an incredible store of value for early adopters, and in 5 years time, those who bought now will be the next early adopters.

you have your opinions, and I have mine. but I've certainly benefitted by buying and holding crypto and will continue to DCA each month with an affordable investment amount. patiently waiting for the next bull run.

no one is under the illusion other than Bitcoin being a HIGH-RISK asset, but I'd much rather be dollar cost averaging Bitcoin each month than buying any UK stocks right now that's for sure. the whole stock market is on it's a$$ no thanks to Russian aggression in Ukraine. China is also in trouble, much more than the media would lead us to believe.

global recessions and high interest rates is exactly the time I want to be diversifying into other assets like Bitcoin an Ethereum. Holding off from any alt-coin purchases with it being so volatile right now, but I haven't sold any of my Alts - have got them earning interest in staking pools for the last few years.

now here we are in a recession. the cycle is coming round again. I'm a Bitcoin bull and my opinion is that we will see strong recovery over the coming winter months. but looking at the data and the actual evidence, the number of addresses holding Bitcoin is GROWING not decreasing. admittedly investing in crypto is a patient man's game and not for everyone. but people are accumulating and holding Bitcoin (facts) ready for the next bull run.

agreed AB. it's transparent that many of the people posting on here who are anti-crypto are relatively new to it and probably only got involved when they saw the massive gains Argo had early 2021 (too late) and wanted to jump on the bandwagon, without a clue what Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies are. Now there's a lot of sour grapes about crypto in general.

I've been invested in Bitcoin and cryptos since Nov 2017 and am a LTH. The lows of today are the highs of a few years ago.

this is a bear market but like always, Bitcoin will recover. especially with what's happening to FIAT money, soaring interest rates, recession. Institutional money will move into Bitcoin to diversify away from the Pound.

also will not be surprised to see a short-squeeze coming for Bitcoin and Ethereum over the coming months.

please also do not forget that SAE turbines are now being retro-fitted with the wet-mate connection system - halving deployment and maintenance costs

this is a pretty huge cost-saving strategy which will massively benefit the figures

appreciate some on here are a little frustrated but the third turbine going into the water - whilst good that it's finally happened - was already expected, plus it's months late. So can't expect much of a ramp up. However in the coming months when the third turbine is generating consistent additional profits then it could well be a different story and expect some increases to the SP. So far this 3rd turbine hasn't technically generated any profit.

Happy to buy more at these low prices and see this as a further coil on this already loaded spring. Something will have to give at some point in the coming months and should see a fair reflection in the SP - nothing drastic, but a moderate uplift at least.
