Thank you Jim. The problem with many BB's is the feverish approach of the participants. As you say, look at the company's fundamentals. Is it a good company or not? Pretty much everything about DEC says good. Is the investment climate good? No it's not. Maybe that's got something to do with the SP dropping. People need to spend time with the fundamentals & stop panicking over the temporary gyrations of the SP.

A number of reasons the NAM rig count is down:

1) Operators are self-imposing much tighter capital discipline since CV-19. Focusing on better shareholder returns rather than drilling more wells for more production

2) Unconventional wells have become a lot more efficient leading to more gas or oil for an equivalent Capex

3) There is less money around investing in hydrocarbon E&P these days

The rig count has dropped as a consequence. The international rig count is up significantly showing that the global E&P industry is currently healthy

Do you invest in Coface? They seem to be successful financially & offer a huge dividend. Do you know what the tax treatment is when investing in this co. in the UK?

Steven, most of your messages appear to be repeating what is said on ADVFN. Doing so adds nothing to the conversation.

Two reasons why it is unlikely for a REIT to lower their dividend:

1) They are obliged to distribute 90% of their income. So as long as their income is maintained at level xxx they must distribute 0.90 xxx dividends

2) Dropping the dividend risks a flight of the investors

And the last target price they gave was 21p in Oct 21. Not much of a recommendation I'm afraid.

Trek, I don't think DEC gas goes to Europe as their pipelines do not connect to LNG plants. However, the more US gas goes to Europe the better for DEC gas in NAM.

What happens after the Bumamani mine is exhausted at the end of 2024 & when /if fiscal terms are agreed for the Toliara prospect in Madagascar. The latter is the most important consideration as it would increase BSE's value, EPS & SP significantly. BSE has no debt & currently offers annual divi's of >26%
