Hopefully we may get an update either by RNS or tomorrow in the sharesoc interview about start of phase III. Must be due to kick off soon if it hasn’t already. I like the following line from the NIHR update regarding supporting the phase III, from RM:
“If we are ultimately successful in developing SNG001 and making it widely available then it needs to be recognized as a successful British story.”
Oh wine, you do spout some crap. You seem happy in your own little make believe world and you are just here to antagonise. Sad little person really. Parexel as you would know if you’ve done your research have delivered a couple of phase III’s in the two month window which was why RM said we are looking at that timeframe. We won’t be short of patients. I think I’ll take the CEO’s estimate on trial times than yours. I’m sure you are vastly experienced in the health care world and delivering trials :)
Very interesting that both CEO’s of Pfizer and Moderna have sold millions of pounds of their own shares after the price hikes from news breaking. Both companies say the deals were penned a long time ago. Of course they were.

Erm, maybe I won’t take that Vaccine afterall:
‘Pfizer also has legal issues as a result of several of their medications. In the past years, Pfizer had to pay court settlements from lawsuits filed against them by patients and accusations of illegal marketing. The most expensive settlement that Pfizer has paid was over $2.3 billion paid as a fine to resolve civil and criminal penalties of illegal marketing for four medications including Bextra, Geodon, Zyvox, and Lyrica.
The company has also faced thousands of lawsuits for medical injuries caused by their medications including drugs such as Bextra, Celebrex, Chantix, Effexor, Zoloft, Prempro, Depo-testosterone, and Lipitor. Many of these lawsuits have been resolved or settled, however some remain in court systems.’
Looks like the latest vaccine has put pressure on AZN/Oxford
AZN/Oxford: ???
Moderna vaccine 95%
Russian vaccine 92% (dubious at best)
Pfeizer vaccine 90%
If you believe any of the above then it’s probably true to say AZN/Oxford will come in at 95% plus, they won’t want to appear less effective than the Moderna vaccine. Caveat must now be on how long these vaccines give us protection as they are all judging their effectiveness on too short a timescale from last injection.
That’s the same way I feel about it CR1909, would take it but don’t want to be a guinea pig particularly. I wonder how many others would be reluctant to step forward initially. Some people I work with have expressed the same concerns.
I normally do that at Goodwood Org, but yes why not. I think the way they are going to do the virtual awards over an extended time should hopefully bring some decent exposure to SNG amongst AIM investors and beyond. Just need to win now. :)
I get that Org, you make fair points, but do any of us know the twists and turns to come. Who would have predicted the unfolding events over the last six months. Sng had the fortune of locking in the raise at 175p. In less than four months they could have an effective all round anti viral, packaged up ready to sell or licensed to the highest bidder. Looking at what drugs go for these days the asking price will be a lot more than 200m. AZN were happy to pay over that for SNG when it had possible efficacy against Asthma at phase II level. What would the value be now?. A lot more than that.
Over 7 billion people on the planet, how long will it take to vaccinate them all, Van Tam knows as much as we do about whether these vaccines have effect after three months plus from vaccination. Plenty of room in this market for Vaccines and Therapeutics. It was always going to be that way. Synairgen market cap £220m at current SP. How many orders would they need to make this Market cap look ridiculous.? Pfeizer are valued at 205Billion currently. So we go on to prove a success at phase III one of these big fish not going to be happy parting with a couple of billion to buy us. I find that hard to believe.
CR1909- sorry but I don’t understand your post. ‘Synairgen can’t offer a vaccine alternative in the short to medium term’?. They have allotted 30m or so of the raise to fund scaling up. This is being done. Results from Phase III should be with us between Feb-March. Possible preliminary readout before that imo. And you can’t compare this with a vaccine as it’s a therapeutic. The only thing you can compare with a vaccine is another vaccine. Our market is people who have COVID, FLU, COPD or any respiratory virus in the years to come. Current vaccines will have efficacy against this strain if they are lucky. We don’t even know how long these vaccines will offer protection?? Two months, three months, four months?. Their will still be a huge market next year and beyond for people who contract COVID-19. Governments will stockpile a general all round anti viral like this.
