The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Technology stocks taking a bit of a beating at the moment ..Tesla etc as value stocks coming back into favour as hopeful signs that Covid pandemic may be containable and world economy picks up. Think this has affected BGO somewhat ...great opportunity to dip in again. GLTA
Yes, earnings only going one way after a year of lockdown that has changed the world. Whilst EUS spend is always doubling year on year can they maintain their margins? Interested in seeing the figures for monetising their valuable data as this could really kick on the SP. Held on/off since 2012 and currently maxed out as believe they are going to deliver strong update. DYOR, GLTA
Yes..good tick up this morning. Read investors chronicle article at weekend...Simon Thompson put it as one of his shares to buy ..with comments on partnerships, booming business and predicting profits of £10m and £20m in next couple of years. Great write up but made me chuckle as LTH since 2012 and he's previously tipped them as a buy 259p a few years ago before they dropped like a stone ending up in bargain basement 59p march last year ..something he conveniently doesn't mention. I believe he's right this time..GLTA
Talk of another CV19 national lockdown in press today...BGO will be one of few companies to benefit in these difficult times for everyone. USA tech companies awash with cash (will they be interested in BGO going forward?), the world has been changed by CV19 with relentless rise of on-line monetisation via app spending. As long as BGO contains it's costs, only going one way. GLTA
Yes..Odey topped up at 180p a few years ago, which didn't work out as they planned. Given that they got that wrong, hopefully the shares will now rise on their latest decision . Guess they are thinking there's better opportunities out there, possibly in other racier technology shares . NHN topping up is more interesting ...
Agreed. Going from strength to strength atapace it seems. With near static cost base any extra revenue boosts profitability. The sales team are picking up these deals on a regular basis ..strong hold in strange cv19 times.glta
