Yes, the "Strap yourselves in" lot have gone awfully quiet, haven't they? Mind you, most are filtered on my screen anyway. This is a hold for me too. It's one to put away in a drawer, to take out and blow the dust off from time to time
They all turned green on my screen a while back :-)
Yep. Agreed.
I've not been on here for long, but the Filter button soon became my friend.
This page especially, but also Kibo, Eurasia, Syme and a few others are largely a sea of green for me, and the place is better for it. I'm still learning i the Spot The Ramper game, but I think I'm a pretty good judge of character. It's a shame, because this board, when it's used for its real purpose, is very interesting.
GLA
Probably to do with his new found love of football
Agree, as I have said before.
Just filter these people, mate. It makes your screen a much better place , and dyor of course
Stix - I don't doubt it. I wouldn't be in otherwise. My post was aimed more at those that were telling anyone that'd listen to strap in for the rocket ship ride to 2.5p by the end of the week. Last week, in fact.
Cryptonite - it was a play with words. Perhaps you struggle with such nuance? . Not to worry if you were off school that day as I'll be filtering you next job anyway
Scarface - I'm not overly concerned. I quick return is always nice of course, but if it takes longer so be it
and as a holder I take no pleasure in saying that at all.
I've filtered most of those that were predicting 2.5p I think, so I don't know if they've had much to say these last few days.
Hey ho. It's always a roller coaster, eh? :-)
So, how does this work, then? Big institutional investors look at the trades, and say "Oooh look, Joe Bloggs has sold his 250 quids worth at last. Time for us to lump on with the £25 million that we've been waiting to invest"?
Just asking, like
abzzba - fair comment
NY - exactly the same average as me. It'll be fine, at some stage, I'm sure. Just the Twitter noise on here about multibagging is tiresome
abzzba - I don't disagree that this has long term value, just tired of the daily "strong finish" / "strong start tomorrow" / "2p by the end of the week" "strap yourselves in - up we go" gush on here. It's guesswork at best, something more sinister at worst.
This hasn't aged so well, has it? :-)
Stew - it doesn't. Not any time soon.. It'd be a lovely old job if it did. It'd buy me a very nice holiday indeed, but it's a fanciful idea at best in my humble
Thanks Davey, that's very interesting. So - it's not really either a good or a bad thing, which is reassuring lol.
The only bit I didn't really grasp, and perhaps I'm missing something here, is that a PME seems to be put in place to calm unusual volatility in an SP, but Echos SP hasn't been especially volatile these last couple of days. Low, yes, but volatile no :-)
Reading on Twitter of two PMEs this afternoon on Echo. Genuine question to those that have knowledge of these things and can answer without ramping/deramping : what are the implications of this please?
I'll stick my neck out and say "No". I'll be very happy to be proven wrong.
There are plenty on here that'll give you the opposite answer. They do it every day.
Various posters on here have been promising 2p / 2.5p for weeks now. Guesswork mainly.
I'm not saying that we won't get these prices. I hope we do, that's why I'm in. I'm just saying that a lot of what is posted by these people is them licking their finger and holding it up to the wind, it seems to me.
I think it makes a pleasant change to see the words "Gut feeling" before an opinion. It's refreshingly honest.
Too many on these boards post their gut feelings, or figures plucked from the air sometimes, as some kind of fact/prediction.
I hope your gut feeling is a good un, EC, btw.
What is your reasoning for this prediction?
