Come November market cap will sit around 100 million just depends on some larger share holder sticking with this share. So Bp123 will not be far away with his post at18/20
Not for a long time ! Speedy is trying to recover from all the mess left behind. The way I see it they trying to go back to basics. This will not be a bad option, Although lots people in small and middium companies left they do to no kid ! bad services and computer problems. I would say a few years to get back on track that's if getting balance with contract work. Hold on they might be sold before then
Does it matter still will not be good whatever ! May take years to recover that's if it still about.Speedy contacts are losing money working for little and no profits. How them new contacts are not for large companies will be going down same route.Good to here somethings happening !
It's funny I've been through all your posts on here, " only to find you say Morning. That' tells me your glued to your computer or bored at work. Ovewise in deep with this share' There's a problem with this share underlining issues with sales, profit, leadership. Taking control of contracts is one thing! But working hard with no kit and no profit, along with issues past and present. Your expecting this to rocket in my view. Buy yourself a ticket to the sun and return to this board with valid post and news if any " then I might say " Morning back " instead of what's going to happen " The writings on the wall. Good night
You must be into this share with your life saving.Poor call !! Speedy directors brain wash you into this ? Wait until early part 2016 and you might be hanging from a tree. You see there's a lot staff bought into these shares "might has well say it was a bad deal and move on pal
You must be bord in that office of speedy giving you all the time to post on here ?
Aplant have increased there market sales 20% this year and are going strong. Speedy hire, HSS have not. Been focused on market " in my view leadership along with poor services and lack of equipment. Bad management and long term issues see this not improving in short term. The fact Aplant show they can gain these customers from others and increase turnover/ profit " proves to me that other companies are not geared at the top.Once companies lose there customers it takes years if at all to win them back. This was caused by lots issues with Speedy " No equipment " No Service " Deal with contracts with blue chip companies with little profits.(if at all) bad computerised systerms. If they even get market share back this will take la long time to rebuild. I was in ASH shares when at 2p and did very well. They contuine to grow and have gross sales at 20% higher. I know the US arm has strength and see APlant growing to be the company that on Speadys down fall.
look at it this way if save 6 million and lose 10% = 35 million that will not even come to profit !! They come from profit warning !! Think people need to do there maths !!
Don't get to excited markets have all recovered a little this week. Still expect Speedy shares to sit around 40/50 pence for a long time. Although this ones for the brave punter who could see it crash come early 2016. Goog luck to the brave or maybe your employers shares have just recovered a little.
Most speedy buildings are leased. whats the cost of closing centres down and how much will it cost ? Anybody ?
There's a saying when your at the top," thy only way is down , This is true in this case. The suits the and wide boys are to blame for this episode in Speedys history.Although I think in this case mud will stick in Speedy Hire and will have a job on its hands turning this round.
Meaning small plant and tool hire ref last post
I've just been looking at Plant companies for sale. Lots of them private with good turnover. Just a thought ! Maybe to turn this company round they could invest in private companies in and around the country buying not just stock but good staff who had to work at the job to local companies. Some of these private companies have good figures recorded and good profit. Not like when they bought Hewden buying scrap and paying top dollar. Better have smaller companies with good turnover regular customers and good profits. Maybe doing this in each area is the way forward. Leaving the dead wood and some Speedy depots closed. Start with the roots again I say ? any thoughts .
PUBLISHED: September 28, 2015 11:10 am LAST UPDATED: September 28, 2015 12:31 pm Speedy Hire to cut around 200 jobs in the UK amid falling sales Tool rental business Speedy Hire is cutting around 200 jobs in the UK, as the firm struggles to turn around falling sales. Tool rental business Speedy Hire has delivered a further profits warning Tool rental business Speedy Hire has delivered a further profits warning The Merseyside-based business, which was founded in 1977, issued its second profits warning in three months today, adding that it expects revenues at its core hire unit would be around 10% below last year. It said it was implementing cutbacks including £6 million cut from staff costs. The company did not spell out details of job cuts that would result, but it is understood that it will mean 200 jobs to go across the group, with around one third coming through redundancies and the rest achieved via natural wastage. The business employs 3,200 people in the UK and Ireland and around 3,800 across the group, which also trades in the Middle East and Kazakhstan. It said in its latest statement that it now anticipates profits will be weighted to the second half of the year and will be "materially below current market expectations". Shares plummeted more than 13%, and have fallen by more than half this year. The firm's chief executive, Mark Rogerson, stepped down when it issued its first profits warning in July. The latest alert comes after rival HSS Hire last week replaced its chief executive, Chris Davies, a month after it reported deepening half-year losses and issued a profit warning that sent its share price plummeting. HSS blamed slower-than-expected housing and home improvement markets. Speedy Hire said the measures it has taken to turn around the business include restructuring its depot network and cutting its overheads. It added that it expects its overheads to be around £13 million below last year, with around £10 million of these savings coming from its UK and Ireland operations, and of this £6 million coming from staff costs. Executive chairman Jan Astrand said: "Following the extremely disappointing start to the year, we have taken action to grow revenue and cut costs. "Whilst these actions will take time to come to fruition, we believe they will deliver material benefits over the medium term." Investec analyst Andrew Gibb added: "Today's trading update conveys further disappointment, with the resolution of the previously identified legacy issues set to take longer than originally anticipated." Speedy Hire appointed Russell Down, group finance director, as chief executive in July to replace Mr Rogerson, although he will also retain the finance role until a replacement is hired.
Sorry spelling mistakes ( my pals wrong)
Hope might pals wrong ! The guy who logs in using Redarmy says he's just got sacked ? Hope it's not you pal we miss your rubbish on here. Your loylity will find you a new job ..
The facts are simple hold on "Redarm fans your money's going down the plug hole and been wasted away. Maybe they will ask share holders for Another 100 million dilution comes to mind. Companies still fighting with management and focus in renting to SME has been forgotten!! The roots need to reseeded. Middle East operation a total wipe out from start to finish. Employees shares are going to be in negative persition come 2016 Although I can see them getting a a belated card from directors. Hold on speedy staff might get some more free shares for keeping them until 2019 if there still about !!Thats coming next ...,
Please explain your thoughts has what stuff your on ! Explain why not you have just made this determined statement. I've know this company since Allen Plc and I've followed this for years although bought and sold over 20 years myself. If your thoughts that it's not possible explain why you made this statement.
I get your point on kit although I feel a lot small medium builders have gone to auctions with Speedy kit and bought up what the hired before. I have a few people I know it's business in UK and they bought good generators with low hours for a song. I do believe there's a market for good hire companies although feel Speedy have blown the good staff out replaced by suits. Where the old staff worked to get good volume business with no success. Working with suits instead doing what they know best.until this problems resolved I see no hope at all.
REMEMBER WHAT YOU SAID ABOUT AHT WHEN I TOLD YOU OR HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN !! I CAN !! ITS ALRIGHT TALKING AND COPYING OTHER PEOPLES POST SHOULD I DO SAME !!!!! YOU ARE JUST A REDARMY FAN BRAIN WASTED TO A T AND BEEN LET DOWN CORRECT !!!
