Following on from my recent posts about the negative sentiment, I hope this spells a turnaround for this consumer goods giant. The test will be the 12th Feb figures. In the past good results have meant the share price falls, maybe, just maybe, this time it will hold the gains or even improve. Of course Unilever could say it is diversifying into neverland bit-coin mining or converting Magnum Ice Cream Co into a cryogenics AI tool to cool super computers...then just watch the shares rocket. Just don't say they have had a good year and profits are on track...that would be fatal!!!!

I am still of the belief that this share price is being manipulated. Everytime there is an upward movement in this share, be it optimism on the market or a response to positive news from ULVR themselves, within days the share is back languishing below what even most of the major pundits believe is the true market price. Could it be activists and or hedge companies are forcing it down. If ULVR was trading at the same level as the general Footsie 100 increase in 2025 it should be around c£55 so what or who might be causing the damage and how can it be turned around...????

It would appear that the previous owners of B&J are guilty of wanting to maximise profit from the sale and still wanting to own it. Obviously when you sell something and then try to gain the moral high ground can you maintain that aloof stance. It shows poor judgement and more than a little hypocrisy to me. Its sold get on with your new life

This stock has been poorly received for some considerable time. It should be trading at plus £50 even some of the big guns see it as undervalued yet any gains are usually wiped out the following day. The company has done everything right, reduced costs, increased prices, met its profit targets, and increased revenue. It would appear that some very powerful forces are at work to ensure it's share price stays wallowing towards the bottom. Hopefully the spin off Magnum Ice cream Co. might help to convince those with negative influences to feel more optimistic

I agree that there are better returns to be had...but...This company has turned its position around, continued to match/outperform its targets and is rewarded with a negative share price sentiment in the city. i repeat my earlier statement that they should consider main listing with another stock market or at least threaten it, then maybe, the LSE bears may realise what they might lose

I repeat my earlier comment about poor support from city investors, Unilever after posting excellent results in 2nd Qtr has only managed to recover the ground lost in the last month. The company has performed in line with or above expectations for some time now but the influencers at the London stocke exchange have continually marked down ULVR acheievements...WHY£?

There you go...Unilever post 2nd Qtr terms with improved margins and the harpies are writing off the good news as fast as they can. There must be something very wrong somewhere that allows good steady giants like this to be leached by the London Stock market. The sooner they follow the ice cream business and list in NY or go back to Amsterdam the better

It will be interesting to see the 1/2yr result influence on traders tomorrow. the gradual decline since the last qtr good results will probably have wiped out any recovery if the results are good. The trend seems to be when the footsie climbs ULVR drops, when it falls ULVR goes even lower. Even the big trendsetters seem miles apart on their views for this behemoth of the personal care market.

Hs Unilever given up on new product development. Back in the 1980's and 90's they were prolific in bringing new personal care brands to market Lynx(Axe), Impulse, Dove etc. Now they don't even have a dental brand in the UK. Come on Unilever if you are drilling down to core values start building your own brands instead of over-paying for someone elses innovation. Maybe then the investment world will value you as a great player once again. You have the R&D skills and the component companies to make great new product ranges so invest instead of buying back millions of shares trying to creat a false impression

Here we go again footsie down 1% Unilever down 2.5%. Its worse than riding the big-dipper. Just hang on tight for the bare knuckle wheel of fortune ride that being a Unilever long term shareholder is right now. Can't the (big) little boys find someone else to pick on. Howabout these slick social media companies or broken Utilities who promise the earth (literally) with no real gutsy history or future apart from wealthy look at me!!!! executives/owners pretending to be the next Messiah

Yet again good results met with negative response. It appears that Unilever can do nothing to stop those determined to downgrade its market value. Maybe its time to leave the LSE and look for pastures new as they are doing with the ice-cream business. Alan Jope brought the business home to the London Exchange...just maybe that was his worst move during his tenure..lets hope this new lot have the guts to get out of London before it does more damage to this once prized stock

Amazing when one opinion (RBC) can hit the share price so badly when several previously upbeat opinions hardly affected it. London exchange is now a scary place maybe Unilever listing should have stayed in Holland or move to the US if our traders are determined to downgrade it heavily at every opportunity

Its amazing that for the last week or so Unilever shares have been dropping pending what was seen to be an encouraging 3rd qtr trading result. It could not possibly be that forces were at work to ensure the overall share price did not rise when the results were announced...shame on me for thinking so negatively about the free market system

It looks like the TRIAN effect is fading already. Unilever has always been a middle of the road company when it comes to marketing aggression. Several of its marketing execs have successfully transferred to large retail organisations. It does not have the firepower of the American based organisations such as P&G but has consistently produced good profits and acceptable growth and re-invention over several decades. quick fixes are not the Unilever way, Alan Jope is a home grown CEO with a wealth of experience in the organisation and hopefully will outlive the derisory and undeserved criticism of the few 'ill mannered observers' on this forum

This company has struggled since deciding to base itself in the UK and consolidate on the LSE. Bad move as whilst it still provides good solid returns it's management has come in for some bad press from poorly informed idiots and pirhanas. Its time to shake off the doubters and move this share up the scale where it deserves to be
