The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
So far David Minchin has been nothing but an excellent CEO that brings confidence in the project and company in my opinion.
We - literally - just got a very positive interview with him published on the 6th of August, which was last Friday. I am also eager for the RNS but as I personally am invested in HE1 for the long run, I have no issue with DM and the team taking their time to make sure everything has been done properly before bringing official news to the market.
As always, DYOR.

The key takeaway from that video is at the start:
"...good quality mud is essential to the successful running of the drilling programme, and this is very good quality mud"
If that doesn't tell you how things are going and what we should expect then I don't know what will!!
Not that I had any doubts to begin with but the message from the main man is clear as it comes.
If you still have doubts then do your own research.

@Dumbpunter
The rig was actually upgraded by the mining coming free of charge - that was part of the reason why DM did the fundraiser earlier (which was oversubscribed).
What this means for shareholders is that when we get a strike, we can move into the appraisal stage with no downtime. Downtime could have been up to around 6 months otherwise.
When you take all those things into account, DM has been doing an outstanding job so far with his choices of action, this is why I believe and trust in his choice to drill to total depth and not stop at 400m as the man clearly has a plan that is best for the overall outcome.
But as always DYOR.

Tiger, I believe in positivity and all that but you sound like the Yin to Hectors Yang at this point lol
Have a good weekend all and cheers to David and the team abroad, I have no doubt they will reveal the goods when the time is right!

Fantastic!
Anyone who lost their marbles during this mornings Twitter situation has clearly forgotten their fundamentals about the company. It disappoints me to see some long time posters also fall into this trap!
Personally I took the chance for another top up and now await what I still feel will be a positive RNS!
You can clearly see David is smiling in the latest tweet and strutting away like a real boss!
As always, do your own research.

The lack of an RNS does not change the fundamentals - it will arrive when it arrives, potentially this week.
The share price might coast or retrace a bit until it does but my gut feeling is the new round of news will be positive.

As per usual the Motley Fool are talking absolute rubbish.
Them saying 2.2% helium isn’t commercially viable should inform you of that immediately as it actually IS commercially viable. Anything above 0.04% could be deemed viable.
Bunch of muppets!

The RNS will arrive when the RNS arrives!
David did say that they would report any viable news worth sharing as and when they can, so if there hasn't been an RNS issued on Monday it's not cause for alarm but just that there isn't any news worth sharing yet.
Anyone new investing here should seriously look into the fundamentals of the company, people behind it and also realise that even if Tai doesn't go as planned it's not the end of the show as they have plenty of other prospects lined up which will all benefit from this first dill in terms of experience and data.
That being said, I firmly believe that any negative news could easily have been dealt with remotely by David as I assume Lorna is also on-site and she carries a lot of experience with her alongside the fantastic drilling team. By this logic, I am assuming David's prompt departure to the site is to both verify and announce good news for both the company but also the country.
As always, do your own research and try not to get swept away by all the hype on the board (as fun as it is to read).

Hopefully, people will listen to someone with some sense now rather than consuming the bo*llocks the motley fool likes to push out time to time.
Good luck to all involved, I strapped in for the ride long ago and my plan is totally unchanged regardless of what the SP does today.

...If you sell now, this close to the drill!
With the wealth of knowledge and research out there on the location and people behind this venture, it boggles my mind why anyone would not consider seeing where this ship actually goes if you have held on this long.
As always though DYOR - good luck to all holding, exciting times ahead!
"Here, you can see Gravel has arrived on site.
Now the pad construction can start in earnest for our planned exploration drilling programme at our Rukwa Project in #Tanzania."

The £1+ move wasnt created on this BB but by analysts based on successful results.
No offence but your message comes across negative in nature because if they hit results then it very well could and probably will go beyond a £1. If they don't then naturally the price will drop to reflect this. Nobody has said this is a guarantee, no stock ever is but the fundamentals here are solid.
50pence is a random number to throw out as it lays on neither side of the two situations but most people talking about £1+ here are obviously talking about IF they hit results. Given the background of the team, company and legacy research - I would say there is a high chance they do.
