After this placing it will give COPL a year. Even with all documents signed and contracts agreed, the oil will not get to market until March 2019 at the earliest. First payments could come in by June or July. It’s still tight but at least they have a fighting chance. This is all of course assuming that there are no other hold ups or delays. But if SLB are involved then there is a very good chance this will come off. We should see some news, I think, in the next 2-4 weeks. Marmie

Harry, that’s a serious problem, being in debt. Relying on a stock to get you out of trouble is a gamble in which case you could be in a worse situation. Please try and find another way and leave COPL investment as a just that, an investment. Getting to 20-30p is unrealistic. Even on our current float that would be a company with a cap of £500M. It may happen but don’t put your house on it. Apologies if this all sounds a bit ‘instructive’. Marmie

If you are talking about getting stung at 0.56 or 0.57 shows to me that this sort of talk comes from short term traders. In the scheme of things any buy and hold for medium to long term should gain more than trading in the short term. Marmie

Agree. This is only being held back for a placing. As I said yesterday, I think we are looking to raise £2.5M at 0.5. M

I would be mad if I thought that it would be a good idea to raise at 0.5. However, I also think that raising money is not easy and everyone wants their pound of flesh. I would obviously prefer a raising at 1.00 or above, M

I simply think it will alleviate any questions for the next 12 months until revenues start coming in. Even if they start pumping oil at the start of 2019, the revenues will not come in until May/June. Marmie

I think a placing will happen at the 0.5 level and they will issue a further 500M shares to raise £2.5M. Not worried by this as it will draw a line under this and will be taken up in fairly short order. Marmie

Agree that’s one safe strategy to wait. The only caveat to that is that once the news lands the pre market mark up will be considerable and then very hard to buy. You could potentially miss out on the large gains that are to be had here. Marmie

On NNPC approval and finance this should probably be sitting on a market cap of £50-75M or 3.5-5.00 pps. I think that the news today is the first bit of news before the final approval comes through. In the meantime there is also news from Mozambique to come in August. M

Not until we get short term traders out of the way. This will take a while longer but not too long I think. When finance and approval come through we will see a proper re rate, Marmie

Happy to hold and and wait as I have been for quite a while. Whether it’s sooner or later it matters not to me or to others who have been holding. In my view this will be signed off by NNPC in the not too distant future, Marmie
