Hi Rock, I have watched it. I’m in as heavy as I feel comfortable with, probably too much after averaging down to 125p. I’m sure all will become apparent in good time, hopefully everyone makes a good profit short or long term.

I take this passage as different times 18 months ago mean bloated valuations, maybe I am misinterpreting it and he means it should be more?

And as we sit here today, we’ve presented numbers that beat expectations that we set at IPO across every division in every metric. So it is going to be — it shouldn’t be a surprise to anybody that — where we are at those kind of things, and it’s certainly not to the Board that these situations arise.

I can’t tell you to what level these numbers are off. What I can say is what the world has changed out there maybe since 18 months ago. So you got to take that into account. And all I’m particularly focused in the IPO is the best for THG and our stakeholders. And so what we will look at is what environment is the best environment and share register to get the very best for THG.”

Good points comparing THG with other co.s and the fact this is different. Clearly they want ingenuity, Amazon’s $1bn fund tells you large players see massive growth in online technology for fulfilment and direct to consumer, that’s why I think someone will pay the price. Having beauty and nutrition as a bolt on is a bonus.

As I posted earlier he made reference to the 500p IPO price, but said those were different times then. I don’t think he wants as much as 500p, as close as possible obviously. Maybe a deal then with the larger stake holders in the new structure if they want a piece of the pie. Clearly large players see the potential we all do!

Friday afternoon again… another weekend of speculation.

As mentioned yesterday, he gave the 500p ipo figure then said we are in different times now, I take that as he’s looking for something just below the 500p.

He also seemed to reiterate ‘weeks’ as a time scale in which updates could be given? SoftBank was batted away pretty bluntly too.

Obviously FTSE knows more about valuations than the large investment firms who bought in early days. Maybe you can share some tips, I could do with some easy money.

Licker, I’m sitting on a 125p av now after numerous large buys to get the average down, so today is a good day, let’s see what the next month or two delivers - Probably more twists and turns than a twisty turny thing. GLA

I agree Licker, don’t waste large long term gains for a 5-10% quick profit. Fortunately I can leave the lump I have invested here for the long term. Onwards and upwards, there will be bad days along the way.

Agree Steve, wasn’t get too excited this morning, sad to say, it gives with one hand and takes with another. One day it will surprise me though…

Of course the majority of posts are positive as we’re invested hence a bullish long term outlook. People who are not invested and come on here give negative points of view, why come on here? I don’t go onto other company boards and slate the company outlook, life’s way too short.

I bought another £5k chunk this morning, every time it goes back into the 80’s I buy. Reasonable average now of 125p but have had to throw a lot at it as I bought in when it was a lot higher. As mentioned below I feel MM won’t stand still and will evolve the business and even diversify into new things. He clearly is an ideas man and I’m confident to be on his side.

What winds me up (and it shouldn’t) is the timing. The results day gets announced and then this comes out. What’s worse - the ‘source’ that serves the story up or the hack happy to publish it?

The title of the article says it all, with not a lot of substance to back it up.

I owned a business up to the end of September which supplied Acheson & Acheson, obviously taken over by THG. They write to me at the time, payment went to 60 days, paid on the button every month. That article seems to be the old cult staff not happy with the THG way of doing things! Obviously consolidating the warehouse operations is just good business practice, what a nonsense article. I look for contrary views and insite, after all my hard earned is at stake but that - geez.
