BDF did a load of drilling in the same area, years ago, when they were sealing off the salt caverns for gas storage. BDF = British Drilling & Freezing. I've done a couple of inspections on their units in the UK and in Belgium.
There used to be two Drilling Co's in the UK. KCA and Boldon (BDF). I believe that KCA are now part of Deutag (German). Big company and global. The EWT could be undertaken by a service company, i am sure. Schlumberger or such. there are a bunch in Aberdeen who send units out in the N Sea which can be used on land operations.
If the issue is the the flaring then the option of 'Zero Flaring' is on the cards. Something that all governments and oil companies are heading towards. However, initially they will have to flare the well for testing.
Looking at the big picture, - the master plan, if something isn't decided soon the asset will return to being prehistoric animals and vegetation!
Happy Daze!
I read the RNS and thought to myself “Sh*t!, its Groundhog Day and I’m reliving every day since August…’
I, then, read through STalkers last 50 posts and realized that YES! It is Groundhog Day.
As us old salts would say S. O. S. (Same Old Sh*t)
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!
Hey, Sting! Have a couple in the Balcony Bar for me.
Whilst I do tend to get a little riled by some of the 'Missives' posted on here there is one point that is clearly in our (UJO++) favour when it comes to Govt Agencies. That is Energy Security. The definition of Energy Security is:
'....The ability of a nation to secure sufficient, affordable and consistent energy supplies for its domestic, industrial, transport and military requirements is termed Energy Security. It means that current and future energy needs have a high probability of being met, irrespective of economic or political instability....'
I believe that the assets in question tick many of these boxes and that UJO will (Hopefully) have a relatively short and unhindered run to the finish line when things get moving.
Just my opinion. Happy Daze!
Ooops! Touched a nerve!
FV - From the way he is banging on about it, sounds like the decision lies with STalker (Or whatever his moniker is today)
Now here's a conundrum. Initially the results (Biscathorpe) were sh*te. Then they were deemed as not being sh*te and sent to a Norwegian Lab and now the seismic has gone to a French Lab. Please......make your minds up. Unless, of course, they have gone to TOTALS Super Duper Computer for analysis? Pray tell mon braves!
Here's what you could have won?
Now come on, guys! STalker has a point here. We certainly do need some positivity on this BB and we should consider DB’s feelings when making some of these outlandish claims! Indeed, the cause of the silence could be a bad bout of laryngitis or lockjaw, mice might have eaten thru the telephone lines of RBD and Rathlin and, perhaps, UJO chose the wrong contract at Carphone Warehouse (we all know how frustrating that can be). There are many possible reasons for the lack of information. There is one thing you have to say about STalker, HE'S GOT FAITH! Any road up, STalker, – hope you managed to reserve your Tux at Moss Bross for the UJO Xmas Party – save me a mince pie, pls.
A meeting is an event where minutes are taken and hours wasted.
Man @ C&A Says Perenco.
OK, no one responded to my last post on this subject.
If a sale of WN was to go ahead, who do you think would be the suitors?
Its all getting a bit fraught on here. Perhaps a glass of mulled wine and a quick (virtual) hug would be good? Its all to do with stress. A terrifying and deadly thing. I wrote a book about it – ‘Everything You Wanted To Know About Stress But Were Too Tense To Ask’ – Autographed copies are available thru Razamon.
Perhaps the reason for the deafening chorus of "Nothingness" coming from our esteemed JV Partners can be summed in the words of one very wise man - "Better to remain silent and thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt"
Heres a question for all of you.
If a 'SELL' was to take place on WN, who do you think would be the likely suitors?
I have my own opinions on this.
Q. Definition of a pessimist?
A. An experienced optimist.
This industry (like many others) works on Timelines. To date we have been provided with none.
Despite the archive pics of the WN site it remains emptier than a Glasgow pay toilet.
Until I see equipment arriving and being rigged up at WN or Wressle or Biscathorpte I wont believe a word this bunch are telling us - oh, sorry!, they aren't telling us anything!!! silly me !!
