Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Romaron, thank you for your response. If I had the feedback on AB you have had I would very likely hold a similar view to yours
. I share your problem with expediency and short termism and perhaps consequently , put Enquest’s CEO in the firing line for reasons of frustration. Hope your belief in AB is borne out in coming weeks. Rgds. Mansardman
MRC. With your enhanced skill for identifying motive, don’t give up your day job, you’ll never be a detective. I’m a LTH happy to wait until the wind direction changes, and have more of a mature approach to holding equities than your puerile suggestion implies. I would like to see Bseisu adopting a more high profile role, I don’t think he does enough of it, nor does his communications fill me with delight. I believe a C E O should lead and be seen to lead.
Serious question to you, don’t you think Romaron is up to responding for himself.
Romaron, you are often on here cheerleading for AB, serious question why do you rate him so highly ?
The initial imposition of the EPL was a “ caught in the headlights” action from a chancellor ( Sunak ) and PM ( Johnson) who had no answer to the forecasted rises in energy costs and snatched at Starmers , one size fits all , windfall tax. I’ll thought out, and politically expedient enough to get Sunak and Johnson off the immediate hook. Hunt’s effort at EPL has been even less thought out than the previous and in response to Kwarteng shambles of a budget which put the Tories in even more excrement than before. Again politically expedient to prevent the entire nation laughing at him. However Hunt ridiculously doubled down on the level of taxation which coincidentally freed up enough spare for Sunak to afford a handout to his banking brethren and enable Hunt some respite from Labour attacks. My bottom line is the only people who benefit from any of this are hard of thinking politicians. Re Ed has an open goal when up against Sunak and Hunt United.
Starmer lining up to punitively increase capital gains tax, suspicion that for the first time ever it will be applied to capital gains from the sale of property including own homes.
Forty years ago Thatcher closed and buried the coal industry, Hunt’s legacy will be as the toady who killed off. the iNorth Sea oil and gas industry, and he won’t be around in two years time to care a toss. Our country is truly broken.
Boom, head shot ! Well done.
Deja vu , it’s sounding like the bull***t we suffered from Johnson et al when describing the massive financial benefits Brexit would bring.
9 times cheaper.? Must be true eh? Comes from scientists, they wouldn’t lie .
30 percent of programme given over to yet another climate lecture , not a peep about strike in the NS. Milliband, Starmer , Davie and Sharp all focused on virtue signalling. Again.
Red Ed Milliband will be writing her scripts.
Where people expect sod all and receive even less. Hunt is screwing the oil and gas industry as he screwed the NHS. I am convinced he is a Socialist sleeper. My hope for his future is not one he would want.
Big mistake made five years ago and still not got near the price I want to bail out. Enquest is a small cap , middle order player with little to no impact on the nations energy position. So it’s watch and shoot for me, and I’ll be extremely pleased to get out at break even. Good luck to other. lTHs in the same position, Wonder what the subject is around the Bseisu dinner table , bet you it’s not how their shareholders are faring.
Totally agree Krakenoil, Hunt needs calling out. Who do you think should do it?
I think you are spot on Krakenoil, if perhaps a little soft on the CEO. Vague ? When you don’t know what you’re doing any utterance is vague. I believe the successful management of Enquest is beyond Bseisu’s capabilities. A change of key board players including Bseisu would do the company a world of good, IMHO.
Exactly my point, the skin in the game is his and that is all he is interested in. But he is not the only one who stumped up additional funds to keep his boat afloat. Many of us also dipped into our pockets for further funds to give him. Jam tomorrow , Maybe.
Hope, I am hoping , hopefully, let’s hope.
Hope is not a strategy! Bseisu has only one shareholder in his sights and it’s not you or I.
I do not trust his judgement or leadership (. Being generous with that word ) . In six years of putting my money where my mouth is with this guy’s plaything , I have yet to see him come out
fighting on behalf of his shareholders. It’s like he is just sitting in his very comfortable chair and watching the fire go out . My fervent hope is that we are taken over .
They are desperately trying to cling on to political power KO. They don’t have an answer to Red Ed’s challenge on fossil fuels, and know they are out on their erses at the next GE. So to keep any hope of green support they will agree to just about anything that gets them temporarily off the hook. This is without doubt the very worst performance of any UK political party I have witnessed in the past sixty years. There’s more sense coming from the Monster Raving Loony Party. Useless beyond useless .
There is more chance of Lineker voting Tory than AB ( Bseisu) emulating Linda Cook .
He’s a field mouse in a valley of buzzards.
We've been " slowly moving forward" for years, Master RSI.
The country is broken, and the currently elected and the wannabe elected have only weasel words and waffle to offer the nation. And its our fault, we put them there. Just as soon as this present group of " governing " politicians are kicked into touch , we will see their look alikes from the other side of the chamber screw the country equally as well.
What a parcel of rogues.
Scoobydriver, the salt in the wound is the additional tax Popeye Hunt added to Sunak’s energy windfall tax, which strangely enough enabled the govt to DROP the bank levy from 8 % to 3 % .
Banks are scooping the hug3 benefits
