Looking at the fall in profits at Connells I imagine the appetite for this will be very limited. They still have that animal to tame and its not looking easy and the timing couldn't have been be worse. Skipton reading through the 2022 accounts look a bit jittery with it all
Job number 9 for this chap
Purplebricks told shareholders yesterday that the pair had held talks but that Strike was not participating in the formal sales process.
So.....how successful have Strike been?Whats the last years accounts going to show ?
God help us (Agents in General) if these two clowns come together.
I still am at a complete loss as to why they gave the job to the HR Director-a company that needed to stabilise and move forward led by someone with a great track record in.....Estate Agency .Was it because she was cheap ?Or was there a more sinister reason
Maybe. didn't Michael Bruce's old company Birchall Edwards go into receivership for him to nick it back and then sell it to Connells -it was a proper minefield!-just saying !!needless to say they did rather nicely out of it
Putting this for sale with not at least a front runner / buyer must give the staff a very warm feeling right in the middle of a COL crises
Any agent is only as good as it’s staff and they must be leaving in droves so the business value is depreciating daily
Axel may well buy it out but I think 5p is generous -the only other option is it goes bust right ?
whos favourite to buy this car crash
What amazes me is why anybody in their right mind would have an HR director, taking over to run the company and a company at that that needed a high degree of skill, you would’ve thought perhaps somebody with a track record might of been a good idea? Whose actual decision was it?
so who is running the show-this guy or the Hr lass

Agreed.
Livingstone-Its because he would have rocked up and told them its a bag of S-taken a nice fee out it as well for the time and trouble.
wont happen...........people will sit on their hands for 6 months at least to see what happens on prices...and if they do want to sell they will want to pay for success only .....not a possible sale with a upfront payment-which is now no cheaper than you can get with a proper agent.CEO hasn't a clue -cut costs/raise fees-it isn't that easy Im afraid.
