I fully agree GFD, but the FSP only takes things to certain point. The first bids will all be in private, but what we would actually class as the final bidding war will be in public. The reason, is because the best bid out of the first ones will be the recommended initial offer. That doesn't in any shape or form mean that is the end of it all, it just marks the beginning of the final biding war imho.

There are some very good LTH posters on ADVFN Rattie, they just got drowned out at one point after the bank RNS, so i stopped going there. There seemed to be a system where you could buy the space for like a title head area, where shorters etc could post what they want and it was the first thing seen by anyone going into the thread. I thought it was a bit of a shame to have such a thing in place on a public board tbh.

The takeover code is to make it as transparent as possible. So i'm expecting the first recommended from the BOD to be announced, and then that offer will be out bid by competitors imho.

Ian, i have a different problem with my old posts, LSE seem to change the link addresses to RNS. I only noticed the other day when i was following my own post and trying to follow the links to the RNS and they wouldn't take me directly into the RNS.
A little annoying perhaps, but it is what it is i guess.
