I'm out guys, sorry. If you as fellow long suffering Amerisur investors want a tip, my parting gift, then I recommend investing in Advanced Micro Devices (AMD): https://www.hl.co.uk/shares/shares-search-results/a/advanced-micro-devices-com-stk-$-0.01
It's a US stock on the NASDAQ specialising in computer hardware such as CPUs and GPUs that has a lot of potential to grow due to recovering from a very low base in 2015 and they are currently going from strength to strength, I wish I had got in when the share price was $1.67 but I got in much later. Still, I am up almost 50% (accounting for currency fluctuations) from an average of $27 to the current share price of $39.88 and all the major analysts have been upping their forecasts. RBC have just upgraded their target to $50 for instance: https://www.thestreet.com/investing/amd-climbs-as-rbc-boosts-price-target-15169372.
Of course this is all strictly at your own risk and do your own research but I think I'll have better luck than with Amerisur. Good luck with Amerisur and any other investments you have.
I'm so disappointed, if a counter offer comes will it really be significantly higher? Also, if we vote this down then what? I want the board to be fired immediately as I can't trust them to make anything of the assets so voting the offer down by itself is not enough when we are being suffocated by such incompetence. I am debating whether to pack it in next week and move on.
Apologies, GET-on-IT, it was more of a gamble than I though it was. You were right.
Maybe they are hoping for a counter offer. Will hold at least until next month when vote happens (next month or Jan 2020).
Well that was a lot lower than expected, I thought we'd get at least 25p and that was being conservative. 19.21p is barely above the initial offer and not what you'd expect from 'multiple well-funded parties'. Will wait and see what happens next but if there are no counter offers and this gets waved through, how long until the money is in my account?
GET-on-IT, If you believe this then I struggle to see why you're invested here. With multiple potential bidders, including the original one, your scenario does not look likely to me.
Agreed, patience is key. As to when we will hear something, that's just guesswork and there was no indication of it being this week.
rhodi, I'm staying put like you to the bitter end.
YorkshireLife, how much of a premium did Imagination go for in the end?
I hope not, that would be awful. I'm crossing my fingers for a decent bid that is accepted.
I just don't see £1 happening. People have been saying this for at least 10 years and it still hasn't happened. I want them to sell at a reasonable price and I want to get out, preferably before the 31st of October.
