The Blueberry Project is managed by Vast Resources, which acquired a 29.41% interest in the project and plans to use gravity and floatation processes for gold extraction, rather than cyanide, to avoid environmental risks.
The Blueberry Project is located within Romania's Golden Quadrilateral, an area known for its mineral wealth, alongside other significant mining projects such as the Baia de Aries gold mine and the former Roșia Montană mine.
Vast Resources aims to develop the Blueberry Project through an expedited approach, with plans to convert the exploration license into an exploitation license based on the results of ongoing exploration activities.
Glencore, on the other hand, has recently entered into a binding Memorandum of Understanding with Euro Sun Mining for the entire output of Euro Sun's Rovina gold project in Romania, which is the second largest in Europe. This project is currently facing environmental hurdles and requires new documentation for environmental approval.
