Representatives of at least 10 companies from Europe and diplomatic personnel from the European Union visited this Monday the Industrial Complex of Bolivian Lithium Deposits (YLB), in the municipality of Colcha "K" of Potosí, to evaluate business and investment opportunities.
The firms represent various segments of the lithium value chain, such as in the manufacture of batteries and sustainable technologies.
"This tour will allow European companies to obtain a detailed understanding of the operations and technologies used in lithium processing. And about the capacities and potentialities developed by YLB," said the Deputy Minister of Exploration and Exploitation of Energy Resources, Raúl Mayta; who accompanies the delegation.
The representation of the European Union managed before the Bolivian State the visit of companies, from different European countries, that are interested in investing and participating in the lithium production chain and the development of salt flats in Bolivia.

The companies come from France, Germany, Sweden, Spain, the Netherlands, Ireland, among others. They recently expressed their interest in Bolivian lithium, the results of quantification and the area of research and innovation of the evaporitic resources developed by the state.
Mayta highlighted that the presence of European firms is a reflection of the growing importance that Bolivia acquires in the international lithium scene. And it demonstrates its potential for the expansion of the industry.
"There are important technology companies that come to offer different types of solutions to increase and improve what our lithium carbonate production is," he added.
