RE: Cenkos: Seeing Machines Ltd -- Get in, buckle up, this is accelerating3 Feb 2021 05:51
I couldn’t get the cenkos report but googled it, if you register you have to mark yourself as a institution or investor of high value and you can read it.
Very interesting read, they seem to guess fleet numbers, lowered 2023 forcast by about 50 installed, why they can’t forcast that accurately.
I think this part is interesting-
Premium or In-Vehicle-Infotainment – Seeing Machines likely to win greatest share
The two lead suppliers for Premium IVI applications are Qualcomm and nVidia. Qualcomm announced a partnership with Seeing Machines at CES2020 which it then built on at its Automotive Redefined event last week.
I would imagine with the chip( cheapest and best) solution we should get lower cost cars too.
However, initial applications will see disproportional wins for the most advanced systems, at the size, flexibility and quality of the Qualcomm platform clearly put it in a strong position. With strong OEM relationships and a first mover advantage with Google for Android Auto, as well as Amazon, we see Qualcomm as the favourite to win a leading share of business in this segment. And whist smart infotainment market is not currently a large portion of the automotive market, it is clearly growing rapidly and we believe it will become an essential feature.
Plenty to read through.
