The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Thank you pokerchips. That would’ve been most sensible and I did to an extend, having bought into two other shares last week but I did also dip back into Vodafone as I see value there too.
Thank you Meshtrader, I did buy in around 63.5p last week :)
Any thoughts on averaging down, started buying in a few years ago, significantly higher average price then currently and buying more (I’m already too heavy proportionally on Vod in my portfolio) won’t make me a massive difference to average price but at least does lower it 10-15p.
Silly question really as most in here think either it’s a buy or a sell and whilst I’ve read through various messages recently I wondered if there was any fresh thinking?
Thank you in advance!
Another good day! Slowly and steadily creeping back to where it was a couple of years ago…phew!
Thanks. Sorry normally think to check ex divi but forgot today!!
Any idea what’s happened? Saw the announcements on share options etc and a small share sale but doesn’t look like a reason for such a big drop?
Agreed, Covid pets will only just start needing more than the usual treatment in the next year or so overall I suspect.
Any ideas on why the price has show up in the last hour?
Thanks to you all that replied, will try to get in sooner to rather than later. Hopefully at or near the bottom, accepting that many on here think it’s not yet bottomed out!
Sorry if this has been asked already but I can’t see it has recently…is the ex dividend date next week on 24 Nov?
Dividend max suggests it is but can’t see it on the Vodafone website?
Thank you
The update disappeared from their financial calendar quite a few weeks ago. Presumably due to the takeover about to complete.
Any idea why the share is up 4% today compared to minor gains of competitors including Vistry? I thought the share price was now intrinsically linked to the Vistry price???
Telegraph yesterday…Vistry looking to buy…
This company baffles me, ceo now chair gone, being on some positive news!!!
may be a completely unrelated matter matter for the chair to resign, maybe a better opportunity elsewhere has come up for him or he’s fallen out with the American investors who have been pushing for a break up / sale.
The falling sp is not a massive surprise in recent weeks as it will take some time, probably quite a few month, for the sale process to be conducted and actually completed, and in the meantime there are various risks the the economy/housing market, both known and unknown.
Assuming no major downturns in housing, the sp has surely got to get to at least the 290p mark offered by Incap recently, possible more as others were interested as well…
Just what I was about to ask!
Getting tempted!
I think they can force it through unfortunately. This is what I received from my broker…I think I’m going to accept it today/tomorrow unless someone gives me a good reason not to, it’s a shame but think the takeover is inevitable.
“Further to our previous correspondence of 24th May 2022, as at 4.30pm on 26th May 2022, Inframobility had received valid acceptances of the Offer in respect of a total of 459,423,863 Stagecoach shares, representing approximately 81.75 percent of the existing issued share capital of Stagecoach. Accordingly, the Offer has been declared wholly unconditional and will remain open until further notice.
As the Offer has been declared unconditional in all respects, Stagecoach intends to procure the making of an application to the London Stock Exchange (LSE) for the cancellation of trading of Stagecoach shares on the Official List and for the cancellation of listing of the shares on the LSE's Main Market for listed securities. The Cancellation of Listing is expected to be on or after 27th June 2022.
If Inframobility receives acceptances under the Offer in respect of, and/or otherwise acquires 90 percent or more of the Stagecoach shares and assuming that all of the other conditions of the Offer have been satisfied or waived, Inframobility intends to exercise its rights pursuant to the provisions of [sections 974-991] of the Companies Act 2006 to acquire compulsorily the remaining Stagecoach shares on the same terms as the Offer.“
I agree, have done the same and got in a little while ago under £3. A year from now, assuming no wider market downturn, these shares will be back up…
Any public reason for the rise this afternoon all of a sudden after 2pm?
My speculation (and only that) was buying pressure from one of the American activist investors?
…but I guess if that’s the case we won’t know for a few days until an RNS is published.
What’s going on today? Saw some price target upgrades but presume something else is going on as they are far outperforming peers?
Can anyone confirm I’m right in thinking you can’t put these into an isa straight from the placing?
They’re flying!
Odd re lack of RNS!
