I was looking earlier to see if any news had pushed it up 3p this morning but could t find anything and now is actually down 2P already!

This announcement came after the CMA case news…anyone know about the effects of the CMA case as the bit of Php’s announcement I read made it sound like full steam ahead?

I wish I knew…considering selling a tranche of mine in case there is a pull back but expecting good results and the long term view seems to be this is still far too cheap

People selling out prior to ex dividend tomorrow or something else in the news today? Can’t see anything specific causing the drop although arguably some heat needed to come out of the share price.

I’d be grateful if anyone knows of the reason for the drop today? I’d been assuming it would rise or stabilise at least until the ex div in July. It may just be Mr Market especially as the price has risen so much in the last couple of months but given the strength in the FTSE I just wondered if I’d missed something.

Thanks for the analysis. It appears that (assuming the price stays above their cap) that the share price could remain elevated due to the potential special dividend!

Any news today giving yet more uptick in the share price? I can’t find anything….its been a steady but very strong rise recently so may be nothing in particular (bid etc). I hope it holds!!!

I did see a report not that long ago about how amazingly close to the detail he is and also they keep their inner circle very close and don’t get them out in public much due to fear of them being poached…if Wolfson was to go anywhere else there would I expect be a massive hit to the share price in the short term but no doubt it would recover.

Any views on where this price goes from here? I’m staggered by the rise and whilst results have been excellent there have been periods of downturns in the share price over the years as well when there have been headwinds e.g. consumer spending?

Well done always good to take a decent profit. I’m on an average of £1.43 having first bought 6 years ago for £3.18 and since then averaged down with the cheapest at £1.02. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a continued move up over the next year or so and hopefully a bid and can then either get out completely or at least reduce my holding which is larger than I ordinarily would hold.

I’m in (averaging down) as the price looks too low considering it is still a profitable company and compared to the market cap.

Let’s hope there are no further surprises.

Risk of a bid and PE buying the company for say £1 which will hurt a lot of us long term holders.
