I suppose some are buying in order to average down, so if this so called 'company' (id call it something else) decided to re-list then investors would be in at a much lower price.
Wouldn't it be good of management to sell off all its assets and give back to us long suffering holders the returns we so deserve.
Thanks Zarquon, i checked it out after reading your post, and they do make it sound dramatic, " Magnolia shares rocket' and they're still almost worthless,.. or could the BOD have something up their sleeves? with a reverse takeover going on behind the scenes, Magp own 108 wells but have to sell 31 wells to repay the loan and part of its debt reduction programme, surely this is achievable isn't it? what with todays oil prices there would be i imagine a queue of buyers lining up to pick up the bargain priced wells.
Yes thanks for the info fella. I did have a look at the RNS. Things are looking slightly better for Zincox in Vietnam but im still underwater here. Lets hope they can identify other projects and bring in other income streams as this company badly needs it.
Once in-orbit testing is complete in july , and it is looking good for Hylas 4, as Avanti stated the satellite is in excellent health, then maybe just maybe things will snowball from there. Just got to get over this "little" issue of multi million $$$$$ funding, and if Avanti can negotiate with backers and customers then this will fly. After all the massive infrastructure is already in place for success given a carefully executed plan...watch this space.
Im still holding here, just wondering when any good news via an RNS may come out. Anything happening in Vietnam yet?
Thanks for the link guidedog7, had a good read, sometimes companies delist to move up from AIM to the main market, which certainly isn't the case here with MAGP, This ones a voluntary delisting, apparently to save 100,000.00 per year. The problem is will us long suffering P.I.'s ever see any benefits to this saving,? I doubt that very much. It also states in that blog, that some companies are brought to AIM through an I.P.O at a high price, then allowed over time to drift back down to a lower price, so the company can buy the shares back at a much lower price. Does make you wonder doesn't it ? Have we all been shafted, and set Rita and BOD up for life? Or can MAGP rise from the ashes....
Theres also a site called Asset Match, I've never used it but i may have to if this delists, I hope you can convey your idea to MAGP and get them to act on it, anything to give us long suffering shareholders some kind of pain relief, Its a pity Magp didn't have the same success as my other holding NTOG. Now thats a company to aspire to.
I think thats a good idea and i hope they take up with what your proposing. That was indeed a good % return you achieved there, hope it happens with MAGP.. wishful thinking.
The silence is deafening...Or have they got something up their sleeve that they might surprise us with.... Tick Tock Tick Tock....BOOM or BUST !
What a shower of c**p MAGP have turned out to be, so im now 98% down on my investment. It did look promising at one point with the WED agreement so if MAGP delist does that mean no deal with WED then? Just as oil prices are on an upward spiral this happens,!
We won't forget you and the fat lady, I really hope she's not warming up her vocal chords, Some of us are living in hope on this board, I wonder if Paul Walsh really is in wetherspoons living it up like you stated earlier, or is he out there touting for business, and doing his best to keep the orbiting Titanic from crashing back down to earth,!
i really do hope Avn are working very hard behind the scenes in winning contracts etc. After all us p.i.'s have put a lot of our hard earned money into this company, we would at least expect the 'A' team to do the same and come up with a reassuring RNS to put our minds to rest. It is a unique product they're offering and i think they'll do very well in Africa but that clock is ticking away and its making us all very anxious.
If positive news does come out shortly regarding the pile of debt were in then things will pick up with Avn, After all they're offering a unique and great product to the African market as well as the middle east and south america, If this hurdle of debt can be overcome then it'll be upwards from there. The iknowledge programme in Tanzania is taking off even though as HITS stated its only modest in size, but bearing in mind the economic situation in that continent satellite broadband is by far the cheapest and most economical so tailored for that particular market.
The iknowledge programme in Tanzania seems to be taking off and linking teachers & pupils across 25 regions in that country alone. It fills a gap where fibre broadband cannot be taken up. If you go on to Avanti website you'll see the story and case studies there. Hopefully the programme will soon roll out throughout Africa and gain Avanti a much needed revenue stream.-and lifeline.
Maybe the fat lady has lost her vocal chords, cus i can't hear her singing yet. Maybe someone like Warren Buffet might come to AVNs rescue. who knows? Yes maybe the financial situation leaves much to be desired but the fundamentals of Avanti are very very strong.
The clock is ticking and still no sign of a saviour coming to AVNs rescue. Id like to know just how much the 'A' team are doing to get us out of this deep dark hole we now find ourselves in. Surely there must be a fund manager out there somewhere that can see the massive potential in Avanti, after all it is a truly global company with so much to offer, present in 118 countries, a first mover in ka band etc etc.. the list goes on. SOS....Save Our Shares !
Credit to Matt Lofgran for turning things around with this company. Just over a year ago i was about 90% down on this company, then i decided to buy more shares averaging down after reading how things were improving etc. now im 47% up, ( % was a lot higher recently but i don't want to sell as i think theyre still climbing). Doing a lot better then one of my other investments Magnolia Petroleum....84% down on them. Thats aim life im afraid.
South street, so thats where the 'A' team are? in the pub with paul walsh ha ha, if i weren't invested i would probably find that funnier. I hope your not serious ! Maybe thats the name of their new offices then, The Red Lion- or is it the White Elephant?
