people will only get hit on mortgages when their fix ends, which sensible borrowers should be on.
Nevertheless despite fixed rates having gone up in the last few months, the rates available now are still very low.

When is that going to happen. Most of the population haven't been in full spending mode for all of the last couple of years, and are looking forward to getting back to a more normalised environment.
I personally need to catch up on about 500 pints of beer, x bottles of wine etc etc.

It's called inflation.
Cost of food hasn't gone up 25% in a week.

My energy plan finished at the end of 2021. I let it default onto the variable which is about the same as my previous fix. The new fixes were a lot higher than the variable which will obviously change in April, at which time I will look at the options, but I am in the position personally to not have to worry about energy costs, but will be of concern to others in the coming months/years.
Salary increases at some time will catch up with inflation, and for those not in work - there are plenty of jobs available.

I am pretty sure that many who have been here for a number of years have noticed the vast amount of ID's disappearing because the people think it is better to start afresh for reasons that can be seen.
DCB for instance has had hundreds of ID.s and most likely at least half a dozen currently.
NC still has an an ID. or two but not getting exposure currently, and that is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to numbers of people.
