Apologies it seems that every trade was a sell today ... Even the last trade was more than likely a sell as it was at the mid point but the ask dropped into the close. 100% sell ratio on Friday is not exactly investors rushing in for the "poor quality" auction results next weeks. Expect much of the same next week.
Investors will be even less enthusiastic when they see the fall today. Over 5% off the price with production in decline and costs in danger if getting out of control for the low grades that are being mined. Grades and production continuing to decline, year on year, will not be getting investors fighting for a piece of this in the short term. Every trade today was a sell bar one automated trade at the end of the day ... They tried to stem the sellers by showing one trade as a buy with an inaccurate spread but the big sellers continued dumping into the afternoon. Time to protect capital and buy back once it reaches a MC that reflects the current business issues.
Gem prices in decline ... Low quality gem sales will not be market pleasing ... Smart money taking profits. Latest chart shows lower highs and lower lows forming ... expect further falls in the near term. Expecting a short squeeze on companies that are struggling with costs and falling production.
Shocking ... must be some very nervous people awaiting the audited results. Will selling a few low quality gems cut the mustard until the audited results? Time will tell ... See you Monday eric ...
Are what people make when they don't do their research ... The Lizzard makes mistakes but eric has a back catalogue which is growing faster than the production is falling here. It's ok for Eric to talk down other shares with lies whilst adding in ramps for GEM ... You reap what you sew ... The Lizzard is comfortable in his new home ... Production down ... costs spiraling ... fact.
Auction of (In their words) "low quality" gems is unlikely to bring market pleasing news in the short term. If the model is robust why sell down stakes in other resources? Results speak volumes ...
Down 80% from the last update ... The list is endless. Words are cheap results are everything. Why are the majors selling out?
Sold down their stake in the past fortnight ... Must have got wind of the poor results that came out this week and made the correct choice to take profit when it's offered. eric ... why are the majors scrambling for the door? Don't be left holding the baby whilst the informed depart. Short to the 30's then look for a recovery play if they can turn round falling production against higher production costs and falling gem prices,. This seems the logical play.
Annual gemstone production of 20.2 million carats (versus 30.0 million carats in the year ending 30 June 2013); - Production down 33%. Unit production costs of USD 0.75 per carat (versus USD 0.50 per carat in the quarter ending 30 June 2013). - Production costs up 50% These are unaudited results so they have probably erred on the positive side, not that there is one ... Production down 33% whilst costs have spiralled out of control up 50% from the previous qtr. No wonder the smart money is heading for the door ... worse to come IMO. Diamond prices dropping and very weak broker notes do not bode well for this sector .
£366.25k of sales gone through in 4 trades today ... Seems the educated are heading for the door. Some hedgies bonus' could be squeezed this year.
Latest broker note looks very weak target given that the share is at 48p now ... Hate to say it but this looks way over-bought and the latest auction seems to have pulled in no interest whatsoever. I expect a drift now back to the 30p range over the next 6-12 months. It's been a good performer over the 12 months - Time to take profits.
Yep ... Lucky git ... sunshine and tapas ...
I've opened one try my username here @yahoo.co.uk
I only have my main one and I can't post that on here as got some pretty sick threats from an idiot on the MARL board last year ... Probably hot air but I've a young family.
Have you got a throw away email?
It is a tad pricey but we're a tad lucky and don't have to pay anything like those prices ... I'd tell you more but not on here. My only sailing is taking the hobbie cats out to the reef for the snorkeling and I do a bit of wind surfing ... Do love the sea though and envy your sailing ... Night mate .. All the best.
http://www.bluewaters.net/rooms-suites-villas/the-cove-suites/ Not cheap but they look after you ...
P.s. the China connection was all about a fishing vote, they have spent millions on infrastructure for it but the roads are still the worst I've travelled and not a lamppost or sign on the Island.
My son is only 6 and he's been to Antigua 5 times already! I first went back in 2007 for the cricket World Cup ... Actually got interviewed live on Sky Sports about Freddie Flintoff getting drunk and falling off a pedelo ... LoL Antigua is beautiful and the beaches are out of this world ... We always stop in the Cove Suites up in Soldiers Bay (North of the island) all the staff know us so we get a proper Antiguan welcome. We'll be there again at Xmas hopefully SOLG will be funding it again! Been to Nelsons Dockyard, ok for an afternoon, Shirley Heights on a Sunday is great though ...You can watch the sunset then listen to the steel bands ... Met all the English and Aussie cricket players up there in 2007 which was good. The airport is tiny but like you say plenty of seating upstairs now ... Alan Stanford pumped millions into the Antiguan economy and built his cricket ground next to the airport which they still use for the 20/20 tournaments but it was all a sham as it was money from a big Ponzi scam ... I assume he's still in a Texan jail! Also been to Barbados, Mexico and Cuba but we love Antigua and feel totally safe there ... Only flown liat once when we got diverted to Barbados because We had to fly from Heathrow as Gatwick was snowed in ... Comparable to Ryanair ... LoL Can't beat a bit of Bob Marley and a rum punch ... Atb.
