As a relatively long term holder I occasionally open up Chat hoping to find some words of wisdom. This does happen now and again, especially from Manlord of course, but in the main the comments are puerile, vindictive and off-point. I really find it difficult to equate serious investors with people who are clearly childish, downright nasty and lacking in self awareness. But that's life I suppose.

I'll give up looking at this Chat, moron's vindictive notes to each other isn't what this should be about.

Can anyone explain why there are so many extremely small trades? Sometimes it's just one or two shares.

Thank you. I've recently sold most of my Empire Metals shares and moved to Cornish Metals, hopefully it was a good move!

I'm new to TIN and I see that today there aren't many trades and only small volumes. Are investors waiting for news or is it simply a slow trading day?

Aren't you forgetting the monthly/annual repayments of the debt capital itself which, together with the former interest payments, will surely outweigh the lost revenue from Castrol?

I'm with you Cevodniya regarding grammar. In fact I despair at the Americanisation of British English and the total absence of correct punctuation in some comments.

One of my pet hates is the absence and misuse of apostrophes so a friendly tip for next time you criticise someone's poor grammar: "This is an adult thread, not a child's." Note the apostrophe indicating possession. In fact, it could be argued that the sentence should read "This is an adult's thread, not a child's".

This highlights the danger of criticising others, now feel free to find my errors.

If the share price doesn't "register" with the MD of a company it's time for him to go. The RNS was the right thing to do and hopefully it'll help to restore some confidence in the company and stabilise the sp.

I'd like to articulate my appreciation to Manlord for his numerous extremely useful comments and to Shaun and the team at Empire for steering the company in a manner that other CEOs and MDs should copy. I was badly burnt by the inept management at Hurricane Energy and for a time I avoided AIM but the Mail on line article gained my interest and I'm now fully committed, not as many shares as some but a life changing amount if all goes well.

I'm now extremely long in the tooth and the likely profits will now create a nice inheritance for my family and my own security should I get even older. Thank you to everyone involved and to the (sensible) contributors on this board.

As a (relatively) heavy investor in Empire I read the share chat most days but now it's become a political forum making it irrelevant. I've become accustomed to the childish and churlish criticisms of some contributors by others but this political debate takes the forum to an even lower level. There are plenty of on-line forums for such debates. Please, all of you off-subject keyboard warriors, stick to the topic, the topic being Empire and how rich we'll all be one day.

Thank you ML for a great contribution. I'm surprised that some investors are selling at today's prices when clearly the sky is (almost) the limit for Empire. My concern is that if some are prepared to sell at 8 / 9 / 10p then a takeover offer price of, say, 25 or 30 p could see a successful takeover and certainly my dreams would be shattered in such a case.

And the 15,000 at 09.07 is my buy, definitely not a sell.

Many thanks for that AGEOS. I'm in deep into EEE so it's very reassuring to read such information provided by someone who clearly knows what he's talking about.

It's also a refreshing change to read something wholly on topic, relevant and informative as opposed to much of the drivel here which appears to be written by juveniles with a poor command of English and nothing relevant to contribute.

Does anyone know why no SP is currently available for EEE?

Surely the news will be announced after, and only after, the samples have been fully analysed and a report submitted and reviewed by Empire Metals.

Thanks for the post Catbert. Although I'm illiterate when it comes to minerals etc I was also having doubts about the value, or otherwise, of the results so far. It does seem to be hype rather than hard cold facts driving the SP at the moment.

I lost a lot of money on Hurricane Energy; a very similar story in which the CEO was confident of the oil readily available and, unfortunately for me and many others, he was wrong. Not deliberately wrong but wrong all the same.

You've reinforced my own doubts; I'm holding at the moment with cash ready to top up if more concrete analysis results are forthcoming. I'd rather pay over the odds in a few days time than buy now and regret later.

Wouldn't it be nice if occasional posters such as myself could come to these pages for some informed opinion instead of the childish, pointless and off-topic garbage from people who need to get a life.

My feelings exactly fandg2. I'm a rare poster but previously I did write that jam today is better than a maybe jam tomorrow. And 6p is not jam, it isn't even dry bread.
