Cant believe I am replying to this, but this may be useful for new investors.
1) mearsk didn't choose msar because they wanted to go for low sulphur fuel instead.
2) msar's sulphur content comes from the quality of feedstock used not the fuel itself. Low sulphur msar could be created if low sulphur feedstock is used.
3) mearsk could have used normal level sulphur msar but would have needed to use scrubbers. Even with scubber installation using msar would still have most likely been the cheapest option for them long term.
4) uses for the product at utah could be the fuel the refinery itself, making the product more easily transportable and useable. Sold to other houses users as cheaper alternative. Msar process makes basically tar into a usable product for power generation. I know I know this isn't precise but still....
So, the fuel works and has been tested to death. One of the world's largest shipping companies is interested. We have an ever more environmentally safe fuel in the wings. Not a thing not to like, just have to hold the course.
