Lol quite a few probably.
I do not think it is a case of no contract being worked on, but lack of faith in the company to forecast their future. The markets like to see forecasts that are hit and not as they say jam tomorrow. Saying all that, this share has become good to trade. So believe, disbelieve or just don’t really care, at this price it is a pretty good gamble.
I wonder who the buyer of all those shares sold is to be? There must be another holding RNS soon as the sp has held up, even risen.
Like ftse? Only a couple of hundred points of all time high.
Just goes to show it pays to bank your profits. If my original buy price of 1.5p gets hit I’ll add but dies **** me off I did not sell at 100% profit. Anyway, looking forward to the 51 RNS tomz.
Or been ramped for a while now. Even the long term holders disliked the ramping. Learn to ignore it.
Having just read the results, everything looks pretty rosey apart from 3 things. First off what scully pasted about next years profits going to be down. Ok, so thats fair enough you may think considering the investment they are making. But take into account the actual size of their profit compared to their revenues. 6 million profit from 195m revenues. Not great really. And if this is going to be less next year, in a sector that is clearly unloved at the moment by investors and shoppers, then it is not looking good. It would not take a lot for FOOT to fail to make a profit next year. Im not saying that will happen, but that is how major investment companies will be looking at it. If buying into this, invest in stages as no one knows where bottom might be. And dont invest momey you need in next 6 months or so. Best of luck catching that falling knife.
Excellent find CrisTomc. As the bod said previously, in the long run this will benefit OBT as all their work is done with licences through MITADER. The governments of Mozambique and China have signed a memorandum of understanding which will furnish Mozambique with full information on the amount of timber leaving the country for China. The memorandum provides for the two countries to establish an exchange for the exploration, transportation, commercialisation and export of timber and consolidates efforts that the two governments have been undertaking in combating the illegal timber trade, which is thought to have cost the Mozambican state approximately US$1 billion over the past 10 years. The two countries will develop a bilateral coordination platform that will allow the transfer of technologies, build institutional capacity and improve the logging business environment. The government of China, recognising the efforts of the government of Mozambique to ensure the sustainable exploitation of its important forest resources, will establish an Industrial Timber Park in Mozambique, which will add value to its product and stimulate the development of local industry. The Chinese official reiterated that environmental and ecological cooperation between China and Africa, in particular Mozambique, had been significant. The Chinese government has launched a ‘One Belt, One Road’ initiative, which aims to harness the potential of countries and promote their greater economic integration with China. http://clubofmozambique.com/news/mou-to-combat-illegal-logging-signed-china-to-establish-a-timber-industrial-park-in-mozambique/
Correct me if i am wrong, but I believe they said a couple of years ago that they would not RNS every small contract they sign.
11.18 to sell 11.90 to buy more like 6.5% spread between buy price and sell
Progressive dividend. Will increase each time AT LEAST in line with the earnings per share. This makes the share very attractive for fund portfolios.
Was looking as a down day today here, until someone found 16k down the back of the sofa.
CTP is doing well and in-line with expectations. Sounds a little boring but when you look at facts that want to increase the share price by 40% each year for the next 3 years. This started at 68p on 22March. First years target price 95p Second year target price 133p Third year target price 186p Making dividend progressive will bring in more investors too. Keep up the posting Aphrodite, I read them all.
7 out of 9 wells can’t complain. As I have funds available I think I will add.
Progress progress progress. It is going to be boring the days they do not release a RNS. Good to see they are working hard and reporting the progress.
Probably because off the same reason most investors have. They set limits to the amount they will invest. You could argue the fact that if Candy though it was such a bad investment, then why have they just done a placement? The fact is, we do not know and never will do. Any guessing to why will be simply guessing. All you can do is your own research and then decide whether to place a bet or not.
I totally agree with you. This share is very high risk. The bod have made a huge error and have been very lucky to get away with not loosing the company. Put that aside now, and I believe the bod realise how lucky they have been and are working their arses off to make this work. The company is going to hinge on whether it can produce enough capital to become profit making in the next few years or not. Make or break basically. On the plus side: Audioboom has massive potential in a sector which is growing very fast. The company has said in the last report it has enough capital for the next year and further. Allowing all podcasts to be uploaded to Spotify is a fantastic move especially with the API (application product interface) which will allow users to upload their own products. All podcasts going to be uploaded to Spotify, where previously only 1% has been uploaded and that 1% created 10% of BOOM sales. So 100% will be BIG. The signing of the F1 - Beyond the grid is also massive. F1 being the fastest growing sport brand on social media platforms. Launch Series of International Advertising Sales Partnerships with exclusive ad sales agreements with advertising agencies in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the UK. Commercial agreements extended with Spotify and Starburns Audio. So, lots going on. Huge mistakes in the past and still very risky, but potentially the company could be massive. I certainly would not risk large amounts of money here, but small amounts at a low price which is lower than the last BOD buys and lower than the recent 3p placing. gla
I imagine we will receive a holding RNS sometime stating ii selling given the fact the share price has dropped 40% or so in the last 2 days. It will be no surprise to see this considering they failed to get enough on board to buyout Triton. I imagine the ii who decided not to fund will be wanting out now or reducing their holdings.
Really getting quite exciting here. Another excellent RNS. I think BOOM have something to prove now after the failed reverse take over. And rightly so. Keep the RNS coming.
Nice point jabberba. I think the F1 podcast going to be made will be massive as well. Not just in listener volumes but making a name for audiobook.
